Yes to coconut oil! That worked like a charm for us when reg diaper cream didn't. Also I love your tip on pulling out the fringe around the legs - essential! You taught me that just before my son was born and I'm glad I saw it.
Our little one is 7 months now and I’ve quickly learnt that a station of toys and a light up mobile is essential for changing times! 😂 I think I might try the coconut oil for nappy rash, he doesn’t normally have nappy rash but for some reason it’s starting to flare up no matter how quickly I change his nappy! Keeping it at bay at the moment! It also might be really good for a small dry spot he has on his back. Great video as always Emily and that top is super cute, love it! 👌🏼 xxxx
I'm a aldi user myself.. I always have pampers on hand because I think they would be better when he's (5 months) older because there much lighter and he'd be able to move more.. but every time he's in them he poops out of them.. and he's defo in the right size xx Ps. Don't often comment but I love love love your channel.. never miss an upload:)
I learned so much about Pampers. What a lovely brand and very reassuring for us mums to hear about all the rigorous tests! And the hacks are genius!! Love the idea of doubling up on nappies. xx
I also like pampers, although we got a pack with a red substance in, several nappies looked like there was blood on. I mean the whole nappies were soaked, not just spots. Pampers tested it and it was not blood but they don’t know what it was. After this I lost confidence in them but now that my girl is much older and active I find only pampers active fit pants to be fairly good, although I’m still looking for one that would fit better as it still leaks quite often.
Your baby videos are the best. I've learned so much from watching you! My baby is 11 weeks & I feel like you've helped me so much! Also I totally love Pampers, they're expensive compared to others but they are the best.
what i did when my son was a baby i installed a pair of speakers above his changing area on the wall with some easy listening music set on a playlist to relax him during nappy changing
Love this video my 11 month old is sooo hard to do his nappy! It's like a mini work out!!!! My husband only just worked out about the yellow line!!!!! We're only on baby number 3!!
Pampers nappies contain pulp, cotton, a small amount of glue and SAPs. Pampers also use polypropylene and polyethylene in their waterproof sheets, as well as fragrance (hello, phthalate alert!) and lotion which contains petrolatum. Therefore, we use Moltex There are no perfumes or moisturising lotions, and there’s no latex. Moltex also specifically say that they are free from TBT (tributyltin). Moltex nappies are certified in Australia by GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia), which doesn’t allow the use of chlorine or optical brighteners, phthalates, or organic solvents and inks can’t contain heavy metal pigments. However, we'd also like to try Bambo Nature which also scores top marks in the Ethical Consumer Guide to Disposable Nappies.
Emily Norris I think it depends on the childs bodyshape :) which fits the best. We have recently moved and in Germany you can not buy Libero so we had to try 4 different types until we have found the right one.
Miszally23 No he always has the right size, and it happened many times with Pampers, much less with Libero.... I dunno if you can buy it in UK but if you have chance try it, even the texture of the material is better, I think.
😮 I never knew about the vests being able to come down as well as over their head..my boy is 2 years old! Our second baby is due in March so that will come in really useful! 😊😊 Xx
Hi Emily, I’d totally love to see a what’s on my iPhone video, I’d love to know what apps you use, your videos are great, I lost my baby at 8 weeks a few weeks ago and all your videos are really helping me cope and encouraging me to clean and organise my house - I love it and my mum loves it too! X
Jackson's soooo cuuuute!!! I tried different brands like organic ones (bc they were composed of more natural materials and polluted less) but turned too expensive and leaked at night times. So I'm sticking w pampers now which works out cheap when on sales and I thought to myself that all nappies pollute the planet so might as well stick with ones that don't leak and can be kept through the night ! ;)
Another very helpful video from you Emily! My husband knows I love your channel and refers to you as the Avocado baby's mum(from Jackson's baby led weaning video :D) These days I turn to your videos first before I Google for solutions! Awesome work!
I struggle changing my 9 month old son lol ...... sometimes no matter what toy I hand him he doesn't stay still... unless it's my phone but I don't like him licking it lol ..... great video Emily 😊
These are all great tips! I need to get a toy basket now that my baby is wanting to always be on the go. Can I ask, where did you find the car organizer you showed? That looks perfect! Right now I just keep a spare blanket/change of clothes etc in a cloth grocery bag in the car, would love to find something that organized!
These are awesome! I've been using diapers for 3 weeks ... lol seven years of diaper changes! That's wild to think about. In your hacks &a tips videos, I always appreciate when you put text on the video that reads the hack as you say it, I find it easier to follow along! This video had so many rapid fire hacks that without the words, I felt like I was missing some. Maybe it's just my baby brain, idk! Haha great video though. Love your stuff Em keep it up! 😙
I feel like you are on one of two sides with Pampers. Either you love them and they are the only ones you use or they just don't work for your baby cause they leak really bad
We love Pampers and coconut oil too! I wish the leg trick would work for my son, he sounds like he’s being tortured. Luckily he’s starting to realized he doesn’t have a choice! 😐
Emily Norris- tell him what you are doing while you do it :) distracting a child is actually going to cause the brain to not want to stay focused on a task. :)
I use cloth nappies so the pampers thing wasn't really relevant for me but I watch anyway because i always do! Love your top!lovely to see some throwback footage of Jackson! You must have had those files saved somewhere waiting!
Everyone always warned me about the whole boys having a wee when I was pregnant with my son but he’s never done it!! I must have got lucky haha 😂 some fab tips in here for new mums Emily xxx
You make things look so posh:D haha Now I will also enjoy nappy changing with my 5 months old. Love your work.:) Can you give some tips on work from home? Or finding work in nurseries? Sorry for being demanding but you are an expert.
Hi Emily thanks for sharing this video my question is when you change dirty nappy after changing you wash that area with water or with wipes as Jackson is now one year old.
I love your little toy little bucket of toys at 5.04. Did u have it specially made with name on it. What sort of basket would you call this as i'm looking to get one for someone. =
Love this video great tips! Where did you get that car boot storage from? Looks really good, and doesn't take up space in the boot as on the back of the head rests! X
do you have any hacks to cut the nails of babies? when they are newborn, it's easy to do it when they're asleep, but since my baby started to roll over, it's so difficult to cut her nails!
ah good Alexis. Definitely do not worry. Personally, and genuinely, I cannot recommend Pampers enough. I cannot guarantee you won't be peed on though!! Thank you so much for watching and good luck xx
You missed the opportunity. Instead of the wrestling hold, change him across your knee, when your sitting comfortably on the chair or sofa ? I know I’m old, but surely this way of changing hasn’t been forgotten entirely ? Can’t find it as a hack anywhere !🤣😂😲
Such and informative vlog. So many facts about pampers I didn’t know so thank you 😊 I’m a mummy of two girls 4 and 2 so only one set of nappy’s now well pull ups as my youngest just takes nappies off all the time !!! Xx
Goodness I thought it was the only one who did that leg hold when nappy changing haha, so glad to see someone else doing. So hard to keep them in place. Great tips x
I totally agree with you on this Emily! Pampers are definitely the best. We tried so many supermarket brands but have never found ones as good as pampers. Closest we found was Asdas little ones but they're still not as good. Also I totally can't handle those teeny legs in the newborn clips 😫 so cute! ❤️ excellent tips!
Oh my Goodness!!! I can’t believe you’ve posted his video today, this morning I said to myself: MUST LOOK UP TIPS ON WRIGGLE BABIES WHEN CHANGING 😂😂 So funny, you must be a mind reader! Thank you xxx😘
I love how Pampers fit my baby and lasts longer and has a nice fragrance but sadly it reacted with ny baby's skin so bad that it took more than a month for her to heal and we had to change the brand.
My husband worked as an engineer for p&g (in Manchester) making Pampers for 10 years.. he left 2 years ago and now we work together for our own company (not nappy related haha). Nice to know that you like Pampers, they are the best nappies out there and they make for nobody else (despite rumours). Heard on insta that you are away for xmas at center parcs! I'm so jealous! We are off to Lapland UK in London this year, went last year as well. You should look into going at some point.. it is incredible. Pricey but so good x
Thanks Zoe. Ooooh whats your own company?! Yes, we're away for Christmas at Centre Parcs, cannot wait!! Yes we have thought about Lapland UK, we will hopefully go one day. My dream is to go to actual Lapland, a little ambitious but it would be so amazing. Enjoy your visit when it comes around. Thank you so much for watching xx
Something I taught my baby brother and nephew is how to cooperate during the diaper change. I always said "Up" as I lifted up their legs in order to change the diaper, and eventually I would just say "up" and they would lift their legs on their own and then also stand up when I'm ready to put their bottoms back on. Having toys as well does make it easier. I didn't know about the yellow line turning blue which is a sweet trick.
I love your hair in this video 😍😍😍 wow! My favourite nappies are Dada,it is a Polish brand I think but my baby stays dry the whole night. They are however not very easy to buy, we buy them when we go to Poland for a trip which is not very practical 😕
Hey Emily! Love your channel and content! I found pampers' nappies a real disappointment, simply because when they got wet, I could feel the dampness through my baby's clothes! I found Asda's (My Little Angel) ones, and also the Lidl brand ones much more protective.
Marriyam Raja I totally agree!! pampers are awful I found! needed changing so much more because he could feel the dampness easier. aldi own brand all the way!! 👍👍👍
That's terrible!! I tried pampers with my first son and didn't like them, I used the freebies that came in different bounty packs etc and still found that aldi's were just better. Maybe they have got better in 12 years lol. my youngest is 6 months old and I think I'm just an aldi type of gal now 😂 brilliant hacks though, definitely can't wait to try the leg hold! hes getting to that wriggly stage now so thank you!! 💖
Hm, no, not pampers on my baby- Pampers nappies contain pulp, cotton, a small amount of glue and SAPs.
