What. A. Night. I havent witnessed intensity and atmosphere like this ANYWHERE, in ANY sport in North America. Youre gonna tell me this isnt passion and desire? I could literally feel the stands shaking throughout the match. 10 years of suffering and frustration all let out collectively in that stadium, and I'm glad I was apart of history. #OneMoreMatch
I was there as well!! Best match I've ever been too, the drama, the beef, the fight from the players, plenty of goals, the crowd was insane... electricity was flowing in the air that night and the players fed off it to victory, singing au revoir to the away fans as they left... pure bliss
There are a few teams in MLS that have a great fan atmosphere all season. Portland, Seattle, Sporting KC. It also is a 2nd leg play off game so I think any team in the MLS if in this position would of had a great crowd. But yeah, this crowd and the players were just feeding off each other, it was awesome.
@@p.hhenry4454 I'll be honest with you.... I was there to watch tfc in the finals.... And they're just blah. Typical North American fan base. Not saying they're awful.... But they canot replicate the atmosphere that a small stadium with fans closer to the game create. I think Portland looks to be like what I'm talking about. Haven't been there but looks tight.
- Altidore proved to all of his American haters that he's still America's finest striker - Hagglund transitioned from the guy who cost us the series to a hero - Cooper scored his first goal - Our two super-subs Cheyrou and Ricketts win the game for us - The entire team as a collective whole proved that Giovinco isn't a one-man team
Agree, Hagglund has been low-key the 4th best player on TFC for a while. Glad people are taking notice, not just Big 3, but whole team came to play. Vets like Cheryou and Johnson came to play. Osorio, Ricketts, Endoh, Delgado were available as subs. That's a deep team right there. Defense still needs communicate better, goals they gave up were too easy, hopefully film session will correct that as Moor said post-game.
Hagglund is a great young defenceman, and I hope TFC hang onto him for years to come. But Drew Moor is by far the biggest reason why TFC's defense has been so much better this season.
TFC played really well, and the match is easily match of the year, but the ref lost control and wasn't consistent in his call. like the only yellow card was bs. but then the tackle on giovinco by ciman ( you know the one) should have been a yellow. And on the side of toronto, Altidore and johnson should'have seen yellow for reckless play if not for red ( its an automatic red for the Impact tho ( see the mallace tackle, wich inderectly made us win our first game at BMO field ).
i remember i was on the stands that were made temporary around that time, and they would shake so much when there was a goal and I was genuinely worried that they were gonna break or something. What a night.
Seattle Sounders won because of penalty shoot out.. IF only MLS would stop penalty shoot outs like what they did in HOCKEY, and play for the golden goal or extra time, then definitely Seattle would have lost because they had 0 possession of the ball near the TFC net. They are sore losers! TFC all the way! This year is OUR year! Bring the cup home boyz!
@@theepanbalas As long as soccer only has a limited number of subs, shootouts will continue, unless you want to risk players getting injured from massive fatigue from playing over 2 hours worth of soccer, especially under those less than ideal conditions in Toronto (22 degrees Farenheight, coldest MLS Cup in league history). Nobody scored in 120 minutes. Why should anybody think that would change?
Thrilled to have seen this classic match live :D The crowd was ecstatic and was by far the best MLS game I have witnessed. Bring home the championship TFC.
When im an old man I will be telling my grand children about this game and hopefully we make some even greater memories in 2017 playoffs and win it all! TFC 1 !!
What a game. This has got to be one of the greatest series I've ever watched. Congratulations, Toronto. You deserved to win the Eastern Conference cup, and I believe you will win the MLS cup. This is coming from a Californian.
I was there. It was just as insane a night as it looks and then some! Thousands of random soaking wet people jumping and hugging and screaming. Was out of this world.
This was the most insane game I've watched since Germany vs Brazil at the 2014 WC, but for completely different reasons. The best part is both times the team I was cheering for won! Just one more game to go you reds!
Still watching this one year later and still almost getting teared up by everything in this video. The crowd, the incredible atmosphere, the rain, the goals especially Hagglund's. Everything about it is still special. Hope tomorrow turns out to be another incredible night at BMO Field.
What a match! Hopefully this will inspire Canadian kids to play soccer like Vince Carter inspired all the recent Canadian talent in the NBA. World Class play and World Class moment @3:25 #allforone
Robert Albarda altho we don't have the football qualities that exists in the UK, Italy, Spain, Germany and etc that comment meant a lot and thank you sir!
Congrats Toronto! Looked a real classic & the atmosphere sounded like the best i've heard across the pond! Will be rooting for you in the final. All the best
I watched every minute of the game here in ohio tonight and being from Toronto and a fan of all my Toronto teams, it was the best game ever and they all played with passion which was amazing. Congrats TFC on being the 2016 EC champs. TFC will defeat Seattle for the MLS cup
Looking back on this five months later, I'm still jumping with joy that these fans finally had their team make it to the MLS Cup. But the better fans prevailed in the end, although probably not the best team. SOUNDERS TIL I DIE, and here is to success for both teams in the near future.
What an electric atmosphere! Can't imagine how the atmosphere is going to be in the final! Sounders gonna have a tough game, it is tough to beat TFC at home!
This series doesn’t get its due.. hands down one of the best 2 leg playoff matchups in MLS history. Dare I say soccer history. 1st leg was nuts. Second leg altidore whispers to Gio where ti place it on corner and the coach is screaming NO NO NO and gio delivers perfect ball for goal and it changes to YESSSSSS!! Then Gio goes out in overtime and the old man local Toronto French Canadian scores the go ahead
Was watching this from the metal bleachers freezing to death from the rain (it was really cold that night, as you can imagine in late November) but it was completely worth it to witness history!
It was amazing just being there. I got wet as fuck but worth it IDC if its just MLS one of the greatest comebacks in Football. 3-0 down in the first leg to this
I have been keeping an eye on you guys since the announcement of TFC's formation. And now I am here with the biggest smile ever on my face. Congrats from England and now please go smash the living hell out of Seattle.
Adam Foord wow that's really nice to hear considering that our league pales in comparison to European footy. thank you for the support sir! I was at this game and let me tell you, the atmosphere was electric and louder than any hockey or basketball or baseball game I've been too! it was amazing!
Gianpaolo Pesce MLS is getting better and better all the time...we cant compare MLS to other leagues with clubs being backed by mega budgets compared to those of MLS clubs
Damn, this brings tears to my eyes. Altidore, Bradley, Moor, Ricketts, just TFC at the end were having fun. Even the greats of the sports have said that they play great when when they are having fun. My dear European friends, please see the lovely thing we call football being played here, and our athletes playing the best games of their lives. It's so enjoyable.
One of, if not the best playoffs games I've ever had the privilege of watching. Anyone who thinks Canada isn't a football country definitely wasn't at this game.
I want to give out a big thank you to the Portland Timbers coach, since you motivated us, we can't wait to face you guys again, you gave us this motivation, we couldn't thank you enough, you praised us for being a good team, and we will forever be thankful for this, good luck, till next season starts! :)
Pamandeep Sidhu He said "Toronto is a great team, the diamond 4-4-2 along with the attack of Jozy and Sebastian makes the team look alot dangerous" you should see their press conference when they beat us 2-1 with one goal by will. They praised us.
the atmosphere from the fans is really great there ! almost got me wonder is this really played in north america well good luck for toronto in the final
Yea!! Awesome!! I heard the live game by radio and it was absolutely amazing... I knew we were gonna get to the final and we did it!! I'm sure Toronto will win the MLS CUP!! Noone can stop them got dammit haha, if Giovinco, Altidore and Bradley play all good together, Seattle won't have even a chance to defeat us. They're unstoppable! Best team ever… Go Toronto!!!
