Montreal Impact claim the 2019 Canadian Championship title!
Toronto FC put up a battle, scoring the much needed goal via Tsubasa Endoh to bring the scores even over two legs even on aggregate! TFC's Mavinga incurs a red card for a last ditched tackle.
All was decided in penalties. Clement Diop, Impact's Keeper makes a save and two other TFC penalties go off the woodwork to give Impact the win!

As an Impact fan, I'm very happy that they won. As a fan who would have liked to watch the game on conventional TV, I'm not happy. And it's not that I'm too cheap to pay to watch it online, it's because I work in the evening and I can't watch a live stream on the internet while I'm working. Normally, I would record the game on my PVR and watch it when I get home. I was hoping to at least be able to watch the highlights without knowing who won, but then you stick a suggested video tag at the beginning of this video titled "Montreal Impact are the 2019 winners of the Voyageurs Cup" to ruin the outcome for me. So, if you're not going to let people watch these games on regular TV, the least you could do is not ruin the outcome in your highlight package.

Can I just say that the handball in this game is the true reason why VAR was implemented. It’s so blatant and how the refs missed it is incomprehensible. However, VAR being used for the slightest little deflection off of someone’s hand is ruining football.

Canadian teams have a better mentality towards competing in international competitions than American teams sadly. American teams have a defeatist mentality of almost making excuses going in and not really enjoying the opportunity. That comes from the ownership on down. Mexican teams always have a strong mentality, that's why they're so hard to beat. There are no off days with them. That's the only mistake Toronto did make; they beat Tigres and America and assumed that that meant beating Chivas would be easy. Wrong! You have to bring the same intensity to every match against Liga MX no matter who it is...

Referees missed a clear, deliberate handball in the box by TFC, denying us a penalty and preventing an automatic red card that would have al but sealed the game, so the Football Gods rectified things by making Jozy Altidore forget how to play, and allowing Beast Man Clément Diop to make two clutch saves in penalties

Toronto FC will not have success again unless they get rid of Vanney and there excessive signings of American players. Altidore makes 6 million a year and nobody on earth would give him a million ! Count the number of A mericans on the roster. It is ridiculous. They got rid of Telford and Hamilton who play for cheapp money. Vanney sends Shaffelberg to TFC 2 and he was playing as the best player !

Seriously so many things wrong with this competition: 1. Why straight to penalties after 90 mins? 2. VAR please, cause that was a clear handball denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity 3. This commentator sucks. He makes the cheesiest puns and is reacting to the play several seconds after it already happened. 4. The original rounds were formatted so poorly. You had 13 teams total with 3 of them at the MLS level. Wouldn't it just be way easier to have a knockout between the 10 non-MLS teams then have the 5 winners move on to play the 3 MLS teams?

Red-Nosed-Raider the Canadian Championship is important because if you win, you go to the CONCACAF Champions League. After, if you win the CONCACAF Champions League, you go on the Clubs World Cup (there is a Champions League in every continent and the winner go there) So for the international recognition, its really important
