this is by far the most touching and beautiful version of this amazing little bachian jewel. i put it on everynight before bed for good energies, brilliant playing on guitalele, an underated instrument.
Very pretty. For those wanting the music, do a search for the Largo from Bach's 3rd violin sonata (BWV 1003) -you can play it straight from the violin score, or buy one of many guitar arrangements...I'm partial to Manuel Barrueco's, published by Schott.
I'm 13 years late but it's actually BWV 1005 ( BWV 1003 is for Violin Sonata No 2). Grave and Andante from BWV 1003 are also 2 beautiful movements to learn.
I actually like the sound of this more than classical guitar I think, it may also be a little closer to a baroque guitar that Bach was actually writing this for than, the classical guitars that we have today. I want to buy that so much, but I have a question. Which strings are you supposed to put on it when the original ones go off? Can you use regular nylon guitar strings, or do you have to buy some special strings, and if so, where can you buy them? Thanks for answers.
Wich strings are using? I have on, but the stock srtings are terrible, cant stand afination and dont have entonation. BTW, very well played and very well recorded.
