Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!ds

Good variety today! Great to see the old property - feel like there’s unfinished business there. We never got to see the finished project or know what will happen. Will you sell it? Rent it? The ski hill was a nice change of pace. Hope to see a ski trip in your future. Miss you two together.

I have been following your cabin on the mountain build and today you did something I can totally relate to - carrying a 4x8 strandboard - but wow you carry one UP A MOUNTAIN while I can just barely drag one across a smooth basement floor! I have admired yours' and Bees' can do attitutude and building skills ever since you renovated the small falling down stone barn into a lovely 'tiny' house. I'm picking up building tips all the time too, thank you.

Those are shepherds huts. They exist throughout the country, in mountainous areas and even more so in Serra da Estrela, because that is where the herds whose milk is used to make mountain cheese roam. They are transit shelters, for shepherds to take shelter or spend the night.

I wonder if people would get a better understanding of the hike from the road to the cabin build in real time without any cuts or edits? Maybe with a go pro attached to your head or chest. I know it is a lot to have to keep placing cameras then going back to get them. Film work is like having to make the same motion 3 and 4X or more and all your hard work does not go unnoticed. ❤ On another note.. have you ever heard of panel carriers? If not maybe look into it. I think these handles would be a wonderful addition to your tools and they are not very expensive. Remember.. full hands in full hands out or full in full out "FIFO". If you see something that needs going out bring it out THEN to get many jobs nearer completed as you go. LOVE to y'all! ❤

Your little cabin is going to be lovely and a perfect way to get out of sudden storms while you're up there. Oh my goodness!!! That heart shaped lake! Wow. Yeah, when I first saw the tent in the cave, I thought it might be a through hiker but it's too much stuff. Must be someone without a house or apartment. I'm glad you didn't disturb their things - perhaps they'll be back and need them. Cool stuff between your two properties. It was fun to see all that.

Bee's voice over about previous small cabin experiences and designs. Any damp proofing planned for the small mountain cabin base? Repurposing windows and doors from the 5 acre barn property. A trip to the ski lift with wonderful views along the way.

It would nice for you to have a steel wire from the bottom of that hill to the cabin. You could just use a pulley on the line to lift the lumber onto the top.

You should purchase a drywall carrier to carry those large she of material. Also you should have treated the underside of the boards touching the ground and both sides of your flooring.
