Had a race in volusia one year in February. Was 80 degrees there and 8 degrees at home. Forgot to empty the water out of a brand new motor and by the time we got home and unloaded the car the engine was toast. That one hurt.

A word of caution: Don't rely on that poly for your protection. Our test cells have 1" thick poly, and we have had parts of engine block, impellers, etc. still find there way through. It is not so much the mass as it is the velocity. If you ever make your way down to central IL, I can get you a tour of how we set up our (~500) tests cells.

STEVE PLEASE PLEASE check your sons locking wheel centres as i think he has them on the wrong side as he was hitting the lockers backwards and not forwards. i think they need to go forward so they tighten up as the wheel goes forward. i may be wrong but PLEASE CHECK.

Great job on the wagons guys. I remember the mrs came home in 90 with a maroon over brown wood 1978 Buck Lesabre Grand Estate wagon, that looked 100 feet long lol, and could seat 9! I said do you know something I don't? Lol lol more kids?....... She said no...I just like it. She loves her things big! Lol. So she proceeds to touch up a couple tiny nicks in the darker woodgrain with gold nail polish! Lol I finally took that car over as mine and loved that Beast as we called it! And the it was in clean condition the day we traded it in and still had the gold nail polish on the wood which she swore matched perfectly! Lol! I learned evaporative emission and fuel systems on that car, as not one single rubber tube or hose was in the correct locations! 5 mpg! Amazing it ran. It was overheating that 1st summer. Did everything and was finally pulling the radiator to add a 3rd core and guess what I found? 12 years of Alaskan husky dog hair packed like a fur coat between the rad and ac coil! The lady who owned it prior had 3 Huskys that lived in the garage with it! Couldn't make enough heat in winter after that! Anyway I got a ton of wagon stories! Steve if you double-glaze the cell in poly-carb it will be bullet proof. The first layer diffuses the energy across a larger diameter, then the second layer has less work to do. If will also have the added benefit of sound absorption.

Wagon lover here, My dad bought a mint 65 Plymouth Belvedere wagon out a junkyard back in 86 . My four brothers and I loved the 9 passenger . The lines and the chrome. The car was original 318 y block. My dad built a 400 This engine was a complete ripper. The huge bore short stroke big block performed on the street unlike any other big block we played with. The 400 NA had supercharger throttle response. Think the car with 9 people in it would run a high 13, and had no problem cruisin 140. If you read all this , I am on the hunt for a 65 Plymouth Belvedere wagon.

Its an upgrade for sure except in the gas mileage dept lol. Wagons looking awesome.

I've installed bullet proof glass in dyno rooms and tiger enclosures and is amazing. It's only drawback is It's an inch and 5/16 thick and weights a ton. It's a mixture of plate glass, polycarbonate and laminated glass all sandwiched together. Cool fact for you

Man, I just saw a Road Master in cherry condition where I live exactly the same colors as yours. Must've been a 75 year old man who probably bought it new and barely drives it. It was beautiful. I would've tried to buy it for you if I could. I have no doubt that if you saw it, you wouldn't have left here without without it.

I have had that same bluepoint kit for 15yrs and still have almost every piece. Its my go to kit that stays with me in every vehicle as my emergency kit

i have been a wagon man for years my first was a 69 cornet 440 . 2nd was a a 69 1969 plymouth sport suburban wagon 440 4 speed chopped to a 2 door. and alot more. just wish i had the money to build this 64 Fairlane wagon. but i wont ever get the money to build it so it might be forsale soon.

I bought one of those Blue Point tool kits around 15 years ago and it gets a lot of use! I keep it in my car and have helped a bunch of friends with it. It goes with me on every long road trip.

Have you considered putting a hinge on the back of the quarter panel, so it can swing open for tire work. I used to drive an old Brockway and the front fenders would swing open so you could service the truck.

You need a soft LEAD hammer. You can order them from lowrider parts stores or wire wheel manufacturers. You need the weight of the lead. Or machine shop could make a socket you could use a torque wrench on....ahem

LOL this was a complete all you can eat smorgasbord filled with home improvement ala BobVila, gunfire (our personal forte) Wagons, Sugar Momma, Hebrew slave quips, Dewey cameos, Mustang reemergence, Clark coming out of snow bird mode, and a hard anodized block of big boi displacement chocked full of mating surface fitment hurdles due to outgrowth form the hardcoat growth. Gave you a heads up on the final target dimensions on the initial video requiring accounting for the hardcoat thickness but apparently that was missed. Anyway, this was a great video! Cheers!

You know thinking about it intrinsically the only thing you can do is exemplify the power wagon. What is a wagon? A sedan with expanded length and volume to carry more passengers or cargo than a sedan. So a power wagon should be able to have more power than any other car. Build an unrestricted Top Fuel crushing wagon with no rules.

I'm so jealous. I had a '95 Roadmaster. It was Blue with no wood grain. It was loaded out interior and had air leveling. I put Impala SS wheels on it. It was fine. Rusty too. lol. I drove that thing for years. It was a cruising machine. Many good memories. The rust was ruining it for me so I sold it off. Enjoy your wagons.
