Back in the USSR - Bf109 vs P40 Warhawks - dead stick landing when my 109 turns into a glider 

Combat Flight Video 85: Back in the USSR!
This is a mission from the "duration of the war campaign" I created on Pat Wilson Campaign Generator (PWCG). I am part of JG 52 from mid-1941 until the end of the war. After the last video, where I ended up having to bail out over the English Channel, my squadron was transferred to the Russian Front and the fighting for Moscow.
The first mission out we are looking for Russian bombers, and we instead find some P40s. I am leading the mission, so we do a head-to-head attack, and a P40 gets lucky and hits my engine. I continue to fight, but the engine soon gives up on me, making me a glider.
I then have to look at the map, and figure out where to land. Luckily I head for an airfield right on the edge of the battle area.
This is played on the IL-2 Sturmovik game, using the Battle for Moscow map and using a Pimax 8k VR goggles.
