DISCLAIMER: I am not paid to promote any specific products or brands; I just use the products I find work best for me through my experiences. There is no reason for me to promote a bad product, as then I would not enjoy using it, not like the result on my model, and not be proud of publicizing it in a video. There's also no point in me doing this to keep up relations with a company if the only benefit would be getting more of the same products that I didn't like. I have not used every product out there, but from what I have used, I keep using the products I like, and that's why I use them in my videos. You can use whatever other products you would like to and you can feel that they are better - that is your opinion, and is perfectly fine by me, thus I hope that feeling is reciprocated.

Historically accurate mud splashes FTW

I have to please the mud-splash counters :)

Mud effects must take into account the speed of the vehicle and the relative wetness of the different parts exposed to mud+dust (washed a bit or not by rain).
@Panzermeister36
@Panzermeister36 4 года назад
The mud effects I applied were based directly off of a handful of photos of this very tank - Tiger 1 of 1st Komp. 506 sPzAbt. So I'm not worried about them seeing as it obviously is based in reality.

@@Panzermeister36 Never seen a 'meister' so defensive and arrogant in his immaturity.. Listen kid, some people have seen mud and dust sit and being washed over time on various surfaces (smooth or not) for decades. They've watched dirty things in all the lighting conditions the human eye can process.. Can't believe you just tried to first degree affirm coldly that you 'duplicated the real world' because 'I'm working from photos, bro'... lol

I didn't know that mud-splashes had to be "historically-correct"! VERY ODD notion.....lol... Does mud splash differently in Our time??

Off topic but do you keep your leftover sprues/parts in their original boxes or do you have a box/system for them and throw the boxes away?

Fantastic work, as always. Do you have by any chance some tips and methods on how to paint a burnt wreck of a tank? I plan to make a diorama with a wrecked T-34 sometime in the future and given your outstanding work and methods, I have a feeling you can teach something really cool in this regard.

Thats not exactly basic. Your still using factory made products. Basic is like home made mud a stuff. So you just have store bought mud fixs. Sorry not basics.
@Panzermeister36
@Panzermeister36 4 года назад
It's pretty basic in my opinion. It's not 1985...why wouldn't one buy a couple of modelling pigments?
@charleshenderson9578
@charleshenderson9578 4 года назад
@@Panzermeister36 basic? My comments may come off a bit strong sorry. Its might be good for some... pigment. But one would say basic or apply the word basic. You would see the old fashion ways. Like back then the 80s basic. Like home made brews. For pannel lines. Today you just go and buy a bottle for that. $$$$ it cost. But if you have made your own. Its good to go. In my mind this is basic. Kinda down the earth. But when folks say basic. Well it takes own a hole different meaning in my concern.

Great video as always. You should try using the end of a toothpick for making splatter effects. You have much more control, splatter is finer and also you dont waste a lot of product. Try it on your own and you will see the difference!

Hey mate. I have a question, have you ever tried doing weathering with humbrol enamel paints? If yes, did it work well? Do they blend nicely with enamel thinner?
@Panzermeister36
@Panzermeister36 3 года назад
I have never tried the Humbrol paints personally. Those are hard to find in Canada. If you ask a British modeler they might have some experience as those paints are common there. I expect Humbrol paints can be thinned down with thinner and used for weathering though, but that's just a guess.

I found for the grass effect that you could use an old brush or something and mix that with some brown paint and wood glue

I've picked up some Wilder products based on recommendations in your videos. Thanks for the pointers. They are nice. Do you know what's in Nitroline? I've used a lot of enamel based products but the murky water smells like a smell I haven't smelled in 40 years, since I was in the oil field with my uncle. I'm not complaining as that is a very fond memory, I'm just wondering what it is.
@Panzermeister36
@Panzermeister36 4 года назад
I'm not sure, I just know it's some sort of enamel gloss varnish. Enamels and oils are compatible so it might very well have an oil-based thinner or other component to it.
