Thank you for this, for the most part most of the issues with my 2014 were fixed with dielectric grease and a tie wrap to hold the connectors, but now it's gone super foggy and it's hard to see, so time to replace it.
I think I put it in the video, but check things before replacing it, like open the tailgate and unplug/plug in the connector that goes into the tailgate, check for power, fuses, etc
I tried to replace the camera in my 2014 RAM 3500 and I noticed that there are two cables attached to the camera, not only one as in this video. I am wondering which harness should I buy to replace the camera.
Thanks. My 1400 1500 Laramie has a poor picture. I was told by dealer the camera had water in it. Bought a OEM camera & I'll replace it this weekend. How good is your picture? Is grayish , not very bright?
@@KendorFarms Thanks for the reply. The first backup camera I used was a 2014 VW Golf. It blew me away! The Ram 1500 is more like light mud! I'm hoping its the camera rather than the screen. I honestly regret buying the Ram 1500. Its been one disappointment after another. I had driven an 80s dodge 1500 and loved it. I also have a 99 2500 diesel that I love to but nothing fancy. All todays trucks are just fancy big cars... LOL
good instruction. is that an aftermarket JVC? what model/serial? did it perfectly replace the oem radio? any recommendations on swapping that out? do you like the jvc? thanks
Yea it’s been a reliable deck, fits perfect. The model number is Kenwood KW-V830BT. The only way the gps works is if your phone is plugged in through android auto or apple play. Which is good since it’s always updated, just new to me to have to the phone plugged in to use maps/waze etc
Had 3 recalls completed on my 2013 ram 1500 and my rear camera and auto start no longer work! Dealership is not helpful at all! Any ideas or suggestions?
@@KendorFarms I thought the exact same thing! I told the dealership to own up to it and fix it. They are giving me a hard time, trying to get 4 hours of reworking work out of me!
Thanks. I have installed 3 in the past 4 years and today when backing into the carport I noticed it out again. I'm glad I bought the Mo-Par Max Care warranty. I just drive it into the dealership, hand the keys to the tech writer, they give me a FREE loaner vehicle, I pay $ 100 (my deductible) and away I go. That Mo-Par 1,000,000 warranty covers 5,000 on the vehicle. If I'm out of town over 100 miles and need service I get trip reimbursement for trip interruption which covers hotel and food expenses. Unfortunately they have discontinued this extended warranty. These vehicle are just multi-computers on wheels.
