EPIC adventure! I can't believe how tired we were in this vid! LOL Day 1 with a heavy pack on and high elevation will do it! Looking forward to the next one with you Brother!
@@TheSouthwestBackpacker You're right about that. 5 days of food with high elevation was a bit tougher that I anticipated. But our first day was a good push to where we set up for the first night. We will talk this weekend while camping and set up a San Pedro Parks trip! I look forward to the next one as well. I should hopefully have my first video up this week. If not, early next week. Stay tuned and thanks for the mention of me on your channel, thumbs up buddy!
Thank you Brother! I'm finally getting some free time to jump back in to RU-vid and get some adventures out for you guys. I'm not sure why it took 23 hours to upload. YT must have been lagging. Happy Trails Brother!
Thank you Brother! It was a beast of a hike but the first day always feels brutal. We had a great campsite with water close by. The next episodes have the exciting stuff!
Nice video. I can't wait to see the rest of the trip. ManzanoMan told me he was going on this trip in one of his comments on my channel, and I've been looking forward to it. Take care!
Hi from Washington - new subscriber, nice to meet you :) Great hike and video- I really like that you include the flowers, trees, and bird calls in the background :) Beautiful area, looking forward to watching the rest of your trip :)
You know dang well I gave this one a thumbs up! Good to see an upload from you. I noticed on my last road trip through 7 states there was a lot of moisture throughout the SW. Areas of desert had flowing water in July!!! I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
It's been an excellent year for the desert. I heard that New Mexico is now officially out of the drought. I just hope we get another good winter with a lot of snow pack like we did last year. More of the good stuff to follow in Ep. 2-5.
Great to see you out backpacking man! What a beautiful area, I really need to get out that way sometime ! Thanks so much for sharing ! Wonderful camera work and editing, Cheers !👍
Thank you Brother! The Pecos Wilderness is up there in my top 4 of all time! The next 4 episodes really show hoe beautiful this place is! If you ever pass by thru New Mexico, hit me up and we'll do a hike!
Thank you Brother! The Pecos Wilderness is located in New Mexico just east of Santa Fe, NM. The elevation on Day 1 was a bit diffucult to deal with only because we were still trying to acclimate to it. Typically, it does not bother me too much. I'm fortunate to live at 5,300 FT which is already 1 mile above sea level so that helps give me an atvantage. I got some excellent footage and campsites to share with you guys in the next coming episodes!
Thanks to TheSouthwestBackpacker, I have explored several of the trails in that area...to anyone coming from low-elevation, Do Not Underestimate the altitude! The thin air will humble you! Great video yet again!
