So many memories. We'd start at Bulldogs, then to The Armory, and then across the parking lot to Backstreet. Pulling off my shirt and dancing till 3 AM. Those days are far behind me, but fondly remembered. All gone now, but those are days that younfer gays cannot comprehend. The energy and freedom we all felt among our own.
I had the time of my life in that club in the early 80s. It was the golden era of gay Atlanta. We weren't concerned with politics, just having a great time and BackStreet. We would start at the Armory and then hit Backstreet for hours. After that it was breakfast at the Dunk & Dine on Cheshire Bridge. One summer we went to the bars almost every night. I don't know how we did it.
