I will never forget Backstreet in Atlanta! I drove to Atlanta by myself because I was sick and tired of practically begging my so-called friends to go with me. They kept stalling because they were hoping I would pay their way. I stayed two nights in Atlanta but I didn't know of any nightclubs, so I started asking around. I ended up at Backstreet and I had a great time! I could hardly believe they stayed open all night. In North Carolina, clubs have to close at 2am on the dot. I even bought a T-shirt that has the Backstreet logo.
Oh My God! This place helped define who I am today... I "grew up" at Backstreet. Oh the good old days of Mayor Campbell and cops who turned a blind eye. PLEASE post what you can!
I was from Nashville and went there a couple of times and was floored! It was mammoth, multi-leveled and PACKED! We just didn't have anything like that in Nashville at that time. Then came The Connection and that was pretty darn close. I loved Backstreet. So glad I got to experience it.

How much footage do you have from inside the bar. It has been a lifetime ago since these days, long before current technology.I remember when you came back from New York, right after Madonna's book. I would love to borrow this clip for tonight. Paying tribute to Kim English tonight at work, its a video bar and since Kim never put out any videos, so I am having to get creative.
What year was this video? I started going in '96 (before I was even legal). Such great memories. A time in our life we will never get back. The Backstreet memories can definitely never be forgotten or replaced!
