Thanks again for this. I used your vids like 3 to 4 years ago. Today I tried it again for the first time since then. Did one with the aid and one without. Still is in the system. You have still by far the best tutorial on this.

you can scale the band support gradually, but using a skinner band so there is less tension, and/or giving the band more slack so you don't rely on it as much yet it still gives you a catch when needed and keep the rings from flying out. eventually you will progress to giving the band enough slack where it's not supporting you at all, and you can do without it!

I can't get my back kip (back roll). Recently I found your video and it helps a lot at the moment. Simply put but perfectly on the point.

problem is: how to progress from with band to without band? it takes a great deal of strength when you don't have the band support.

I tried this when I was a kid but perhaps I did something wrong... at some point my arms just wouldn't twist anymore relative to their sockets, and I let go because it felt very painful

You were probably not getting high enough and your arms being behind you rather than in-line or even in front of you. Maybe something to work up to again.
