@ 4:58 Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a species of Hibiscus probably native to West Africa. In the Caribbean we use it for teas and a traditional (served cold) Christmas drink known as Sorrel.

Thai hibiscus is called sorrel in Trinidad( caribbean). It mostly grows around xmas time and is boiled and sweetened. A popular local drink!

when you're vegan you have to constantly eat to make up for lack of protein

You'd probably be surprised by how little protein we actually need. On a SAD diet, people eat far more than they actually need (about twice the daily requirement), and even vegans sometimes consume a lot more protein than is necessary, without even trying. Also, I am a vegan and do not constantly eat to make up for any other common nutrient deficiencies. I simply eat more plant foods that are nutrient-dense enough to supplement anything I'm not consuming through meat, and take my daily vitamins and iron tablets. Been living this way for about a year, and so far it's been pretty simple.

Riza Tiu that's what I'm doing! I'd rather not fill my parents yard with plants just yet (although I'm dying to) so I have some in my house near the window, where I can take them outside for a few hours if they look like they need it.

Beautiful paradise garden - I hope the Central Park in NYC would have just few of those trees, even behind heavy fence to show kids the real NATURAL WORLD of plants. As compliment to that small store with those real ripe tasty fruits, leaves , pods, and other eatable parts of plants.

The cucumber that you have , we call scruffy cucumbers in the Caribbean. We cook them in rice or with other veggies. They have a sweet cabbage like taste. Really good.

When we lived in Utah we had a peach tree which was very prolific, hundreds of peaches. It was a lot to eat, freeze, give away. They were some of the best peaches though. I can't imagine having a garden like yours but it looks very rewarding
