RIP my good man. Over the years you felt like part of my family. Cooking with the blues was and still is the only show that gave us an idea of what really goes on in a restaurant kitchen. Love him for that.❤️
i think he may have been referring to the fact that if you store other items in the pan, you might mess up the nonstick surface. in other words you should have one pan just for omelettes.
He semi-demolished that omelette during the flipping process than casually reconstructed it like a top plastic surgeon. And then "weapons" to friends and family. Love.
Been watching this guy for years. He reminded me of my former neighbor, who was a chef for 40 + years. Even looks like him. I remember when we first moved and he lived next door, I always felt self conscious whenever we invited him and his wife over for dinner. And from the first day he told me not to worry about cooking for a chef, that he appreciated anyone cooking for him, and that quite frankly, home cooks prepare things that are far superior to what any profession chef can do. Ever since then I've had no qualms about trying to please a chef.
It's so much easier to cook the perfect omelette on a griddle if you have one. Proper temp is everything when it comes to cooking eggs correctly. Low N slow is best. I like Jack as a chef because he takes the good with the bad and he owns it all the way to the plate.
Just found your channel Jack. Love the things you cook and how simple yet informative you make everything. I'll be visiting your restaurant when I'm in that area in December for Christmas. God bless you Mr Chaplin
I remember back in the nineties when Jack and I used to close the bars down in Dallas we used to make breakfast for us at Daddy Jacks on Greenville Ave
I've been following you for years. Have learned sooo much from you Daddy Jack. I cook the same way you cook! If you get the chance, make a video of where you came from, how you got started and where all you have cooked. You give hints from time to time, but a look at your cooking past will explain where you are today. I'm just glad I found your new channel! Thanxz
I enjoy watching your videos Jack. I can tell you are having fun with what you do. Good stuff. If I ever made it to Connecticut I would stop by for a meal.
YAY!!! YAY!!!! Hey Daddy J its Good to see You and Loving those dishes!!! YESSS Thank You JP for letting us Followers Know Daddy J has a New UTube :) Glenda in Tarpon Springs Fl, GREEK TOWN USA!!
I just discovered your channel. From one chef to another I love American cheese however Port Salut is my favorite. I truly appreciate you sir. Keep these videos coming!
@@CookingWithTheBlues You took the time to respond to me. I am overwhelmed. I am addicted to your channel. Your free-style cooking on the fly scenario is absolutely wonderful. I am so far away from you geographically so I doubt I will ever see you in person but my heart is there sir. And I would like to give you a great big hug! Bon apitito!
Damn, Hey Jack it was hard as pulling hen's teeth finding you! I thought you were totally out of business. Google searches only were showing old results. I just found this on accident. I am a big fan of yours. Make more publicity for yourself so you show up in more search results. Glad to see yo again. Best wishes!
Daddy Jack, can’t “beat” an omelette like the one you made with the onion, bacon and cheddar! Protect that omelette pan, love it! Can you plan on making a French omelette with creamy butter with something special for a keto diet? Keep calm and carry on!!
My deepest respect of you Dad passing. I have just started watching His videos on RU-vid. What an amazing Chef, and loving Father of yours. Have you thought about a cook book, with you Dads recipes? Good men like your Dad are very few and far between.
@@CookingWithTheBlues I think the omelet looked home cooked which is a great comfort food. Sometimes people who go to restaurants love to have that Home Cookin and will pay to be reminded of Mom's tasty morsels. . .
Well, the omelet isn't exactly a Japanese Tomagoyaki, but it's all edible and tasty. Miss Jack . I come back to his videos often for a dose of real cooking.
