Bro, regardless, if you’re black or not, it has absolutely nothing to do with you being black, white, red or green if you feel some type of way about the slap and you thought he was in the wrong then you were done with Will Smith, me personally I could’ve cared less and I’m black he slacked Chris Rock for going after Jada, the mother of his children really for no reason, knowing that he went after her a couple of times in the media.

Yeah the slap was way overhyped in the media imo. I think must people thought it was kinda fucked up, but quickly decided they didn’t really care that much. I'm from India and as a non-white or black person, I didn't agree with Will Smith's actions at the Oscars then and I think he apologized enough and looking back he's pretty embarrassed too. But It's been over two years, Who cares now. He's a good genuine guy who made a mistake and paid for it. Now forget about it and move on. Also, it's not just his movie. It's Martin's too. People love Martin Lawrence and I like him too. And It's a good movie and the Box Office needs them right now.

I’m a black man & speaking on behalf of most of the black community, we never cared that much about the slap. Yes it was dumb but Hollywood overreacted & that whole situation was completely overblown. Black people were never going to cancel him for smacking another grown ass man. WE DON’T CARE. Anyone else who hasn’t gotten over it needs to grow up & get a reality check. People get smacked everyday & walk away just fine. And this box office proved that most people in the world don’t care about that stupid smack anymore. We still love & support Will Smith. If you disagree sorry not sorry, it’s the truth & clearly Will Smith didn’t need your support the movie did just great with or without your money 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

I can’t judge between them, because I see myself in both of them. I am Will Smith. I am the man that cannot take it anymore, and will slap the sh*t out of the next person that says a cross word to me, or somebody that I love. And I am Chris Rock. I think it’s due in part because Bad Boys For Life turned out to be as great as it was, because that movie, for the first time added some real legitimate drama and character development to the franchise, when I watched it I was like “Oh my god, this doesn’t feel like a basic action movie anymore, it feels like it’s got layers now” and I think others must’ve thought that too if Ride Or Die is making this much, because realistically why would it make this much when it doesn’t have the “Decades later sequel” factor that Bad Boys For Life did?

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect with this fourth movie I knew it would do big-time money, but I wasn’t sure how much it doesn’t surprise me. I saw it twice in theaters over the weekend and it’s not bad at all. I still think the OG bad boys is better but this one damn there came close to it. It’s surpassed the third moviein terms of being the second best but it’s clear Will Smith and Martin Lawrence still have the juice

word of mouth is so strong and overseas had such great numbers that this could easily do $400-425M. And with Father's Day this weekend those numbers will hold up strong. I think the legs on this will be pretty great.

4. Bad Boys (1995) 3. Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024) 2. Bad Boys II (2003) 1. Bad Boys for Life (2020) I saw Bad Boys 4 last Thursday and it was okay. I wasn’t looking forward to it that much. The tone of the movie is a little bit funnier than the previous one but it didn’t make me chuckle. I think they made Marcus a little too goofy. The first Bad Boys was a movie from my 8th grade year. I remember it came out in April of 1995. This was Will Smith and Martin Lawrence teaming up at their peak of their powers as both had two of the funniest sitcoms during the 90s. This was a year before Will Smith would start becoming summer box office gold with Independence Day (1996). Then another hit with Men in Black (1997). My male classmates talked about it back in 1995 as we still had another two months to go for our 8th grade graduation. I went to a Catholic school in Glendale, CA. I remember the soundtrack. TBH, I didn’t think the first Bad Boys was that good even when I first saw it back in April 1995. The tone was a little over the place. I thought Rush Hour 2 (2001) achieved the comedy that Bad Boys tried to convey. I thought Lethal Weapon 4 (1998) was a lot funnier too. You should check out stills from the original Bad Boys in 1995. Man, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were so skinny back then! Will was still in his mid-20s when he filmed it and didn’t start getting buff until the next decade like after he did Ali (2001). Around when he did I Am Legend (2007). While Martin Lawrence obviously got the weight gain like he’s Allen Iverson. He looks chubbier now than when Chris Tucker was in Rush Hour 3 (2007). And Chris Tucker was a twig in Friday (1995). I’m listing Bad Boys II at No. 2 but I actually don’t recall seeing the entire thing. I think I first saw it only 4-5 years ago with my brother when it was on Netflix. I saw most of it and I found it a lot funnier than the OG. That’s the tone I prefer because Martin Lawrence being a stand-up comic is naturally funnier than Will Smith. Gabrielle Union was such a babe in it. Bad Boys for Life still takes the cake as the best of the franchise. There was an emotional twist to it that I liked. It’s a shame it came out in early 2020 basically a month before the pandemic global shutdown. Similar to The Invisible Man which I thoroughly enjoyed, many of the 2020 movie releases became an afterthought. Sean Chandler talks about a scene in the middle of Bad Boys 4 that I also found rather cool. It didn’t wow me but it was cool. I only started watching Heels late last year around Nov, so it was cool to see “Ace” in it while he’s hooking up with Vanessa Hudgens’ character. I wasn’t aware Alexander Ludwig was in the prior Bad Boys movie since I didn’t know him until I started watching Heels. I would still put Bad Boys: Ride or Die for a top 5 spot among best summer movies of 2024. But I’m not going to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty solid. No LOL moments for me. The action set pieces could’ve been a little more epic. It felt like this movie is the direct to Netflix type but I guess that ended up being Beverly Hills Cop 4.

As a blackman, I don’t condone what will smith did but, the brotha lost a lot behind that incident…… and it doesn’t take away the talent that he possess! I’m still a big fan of will smith and I will continue to support him and enjoy his movies…….. that’s just how I feel about it! Thier are worst people of celebrity status that’s done worst things and continue to enjoy thier careers…… so, get over it!…… will still putting it down with or without your approval…… in the end, he still box office…. As you can see!!

I just saw Bad Boys 4 and it was a fun movie. Look, I understand that some people are not going to forgive Will for slapping Chris. I understand that. But Will has already got punished enough and I hope he can find redemption. Besides, Jada is the one who started the slap.
