I LOVE that grand daughter!!! She made sure the right thing happened for a family member who could have been taken advantage of and usually that dude that interviews at the end always has a snarky remark to everybody but he didn't say damn thing to her! That was amazing!

When furniture gets delivered it's all wrapped up, & if you don't have the delivery people unpack it & bring it inside like they normally do, you CAN'T TELL if it's the wrong stuff or if it's damaged! In this case it's definitely the store's fault for not documenting what they ordered.

A hustler! I got scammed like this before from small furniture store in Yonkers New York to the tune of $700. I’ve learned my lesson well!

Always mark on the receipt after you sign NOT INSPECTED BY YOUR SIGNATURE. Even if its stamped, inspected. That's how we did it at De Vry University

Furniture companies are the *worst* We got a couch delivered and the idiots put a hole in the wall. I made sure they noted it on the manifest and got a copy. The company later STILL tried to jerk me around and claim it was old damage. 😡

Furniture stores employees are the worst, they sweet talk you at the store to get your money but once you sign the contract, they don’t care about your satisfaction. It’s mostly sleazy men who’re more interested at the commission they get for selling than building good customer service. Even in the email they were rude to them and in court he was rude to the judge so imagine how they treated the customers.

UPS delivered something to my business one time and I wouldn't accept it cuz it was the wrong color. I got the a huge argument with the UPS driver. He wasn't going to take it back. He told me to "do a return" They were bulky and 8 of them. I absolutely refused to accept or sign so he took them back!! Just FYI

I remember being mad when a furniture company delivered my living room set. They had it wrapped in plastic and asked me to sign a paper saying I got it I. Good condition. Everything in me screamed don’t sign it. I signed it like a dummy and when my fiancé got home we unwrapped it an the wooded legs was damaged along with the back of the sofa. It wasn’t bad but I was mad. They offered to fix it for a fee.

As soon as the defendant said that his men take the money before bringing in the mattress, I knew he was done for!

In the courtroom, the defendant claimed that they had written all of the item details on the original order form, but then out in the hallway with Doug, he said that they were too busy that day to write the item details down.

I've done thousands of transactions as business owner, on both sides of the transactions, buying, & receiving , & I have NEVER had a transaction where what was on the original was supposed to be different than the CCs that were to be filed by the seller, & customer!! It defeats the whole purpose of anybody being able to figure out, & piece together what was supposed to happen, & what actually did happen if on the original the item number, size, height, color, etc... it listed, but the customer get an "Identical duplicate" that just instead says "generic size, & bland color object", instead of the full identifying marks, & info. I can think of ONLY ONE REASON that this is his SOP, & that's if he's routinely sending the wrong items, & then when the customer complains, he does what he did here, & say "You ordered a twin bed, & twin mattress, I gave you a twin bed, & a twin mattress, if you don't like it, you've to pay for it." That way nobody gets the bright ideas to try to be foolish enough to take him to court, knowing, or at least thinking that he knows the cases will be tossed the instant the judge sees the customer got what was written. I wonder how many times he screwed someone over using the same tactic before this case made it to taping, & I wonder how many more came along between then, & the airing. Then again, this guy, to me sounds like someone who is PROBABLY STILL DOING IT, even given the fact that it's not only aired on TV at least 2, or 3 times, & over 300,000 people have watched it on here in the last 7 months. Makes me wonder if anyone has been in contact with the local authorities after having this done to them, & seeing this done to someone else, either for a class action suit, a criminal investigation, or as a bigger part of a RICO investigation, or whatever. I just don't know what that different mode would look like, depending on who gets to take this case on first.

I don't think they assembled the bed for the customer. So my question would be, what delivery driver is going to hang around while you unpack the bed and then assemble it and then sign that goods are okay and what you ordered? In most cases when you sign a docket to say goods received complete and in working condition, all you are really saying is "! received a package".
