ROLLING STONE voted them one of the most musically talented and greatist Rock & Roll bands ever formed but never recieved the recognition they deserved unfortunately.A very talented group!!!!
Excellent quality, amazing undiscovered song, a band that is far gone from the lime light is still rockin and sounding the same way they did back then. Thanks for the great vid, and thanks for the memories Paul.
straight shooter.. one of my fave albums from my youth, few peeps back to my mums to listen to her amazing lp collection (which she still owns to this day) My dad was more a Tom Waits, john lee hooker guy but between mums van morrison and dads blues they had perfect sunergy. And i grew up on this :) how cool is that?
Paul Rodgers, I LOVE YOUR SEXY VOICE! But love ain't bout makin a deal. It's about knowing and feeling a rare another's heart and soul so much it feels like home . . . love sung about in other BC ballads!!
If you listen to the guitar you will hear where the Edge got the first of many of his ideas for re-inventing the guitar; which he did; of course: but Paul Rodgers and his mates SHALL be written; as his band Free was one of the TWELVE. I met him and the lads when Nick Lowe was running things at Nomis Sound in Shepherd's Bush when I and my guitarist Chris Lind went to visit; we got there 3 days after "the beast" of Led Zep had died; John Bonham; and he died 3 days after Bon Scott died.
it's a 3-pickup Les Paul Custom. Could have originally been a 2-pickup version and the third has been added, but its most likely a custom-order guitar - the original 3-pickup customs are pretty rare.
It's not Mick Ralphs playing here, but Dave Colwell. Saw this incarnation of Bad Co at Hammersmith Odeon in London and Mick joined them on stage. A great gig (as always!)
bad co is a ledgendary band and i believe the second band to ever sign to the swan song label (the first being zep) though i'm not a huge fan of single guitar group's (i think it greatly hurt's live performance's)both zep and bad co is the backbone of hard rock today
the guy w/ all the silver rings on his right hand is Mick Ralphs, if you go to his website & click on photos, you can clearly see this, however there is another guitarist w/ ralphs in one of the photos that looks almost exactly like Ralphs, maybe this is Dave, not sure, but in this video the guy playing the black 3 pick-up custom les paul w/ all the silver rings on his right hand must be Mick Ralphs..Or is it??!!
Afraid we'll have to agree to differ on that! I maintain that it is Dave Colwell, but not going to fall out about it. This video is taken from the Merchants of Cool DVD, which doesn't mention Mick Ralphs. They do look quite similar tho'. Whatever....
hey whats the guitar being used by Dave in this video i know its a Les Paul, but I can't find it anywhere so far so yeah also really really awesome song
too bad you cant just find the studio version of this Classic...HD FiosTv 7.1 THX darn, just jump in the 1969 Charger and slip in an 8-Track we land on the Moon, these moonbats and 3rd world fucks get all the press you WILL NOT ATTACK US or you will experience the Jimi Hendrix BOMB trident3
hes a great drummer, very rock solid and dependable..but doesnt come near bonham! ;) and yes Ludwigs were the top brand back in the day..sadly their customers are no longer important to them :(
I just can't get into this band as much as I want to and I keep trying to give them a chance. I love Mott the Hoople, I love Free...So why is this so awful to me??
I don't know...I just can't dig Bad Company...it's like Free seemed more Raw and Nasty while this feels too slick and cliche, and Mick Ralphs in Mott was a bad MF, so every component of the band has done something I find incredible...Maybe it's the production??
