Well, fortunately, they do not sell to the public. I have found out and have had an extensive conversation with the Auction as well and out of respect we’re going to keep it unnamed, but you won’t run across this again. I can assure that.

There’s a lot of things that should have been disclosed, but it’s part of the industry unfortunately just have to learn but out of respect, we won’t disclose the Auction, the seller or the builder when we could easily definitely make them all the laughing stock of the Internet with a push of a button

It’s a damn shame, those trucks are one of the easiest trucks to restore. Everything is available parts-wise and relatively affordable. They are easy to wrench on, there isn’t anything on the truck that’s difficult to work on if you know what you’re doing. Disgraceful.

I am into Mopar and you see so many so-called restored and they are worse than this truck! I came to the comments to make a comment, but it looks like many others have already said what I was about to say! I fully understand the maturity and professionalism about not mentioning the "culprits", but unless you got this truck for a price you can't say no to, I believe you should try to return it. Just to make the auction house think twice next time, plus maybe cause some tension between the auction house and the seller/rebuilder. Otherwise, as you said, if you make a few repairs and make the truck right, this truck will get scarfed up in no time, I'm sure. They're very desirable now, as you know! PS. Thank you for posting this. The uninformed and inexperienced could learn to just look a little closer at the details that make these "restorations" valuable. From your short walkaround, I see less than 400$ in parts needed, with the time and know-how that would have yielded a 40k truck. no excuses for not adjusting the bed correctly, replacing pedal pads, ALL bushings, a weekend under the hood, my god...can just keep going. buff and wax. That’s something one would do to ‘fix up an old beater’ that you’re going to actually drive and use. To try and pass it off as a ‘frame of restoration’ is beyond ridiculous and shady. As one who has been in the old car industry since high school, I’ve seen plenty of stuff that is like this and when I’ve sold them, I let the buyer know EXACTLY what they’re getting, a cool old ride that you can do some finish work to and make it even better. But I never could sleep at night trying to pass off junk as a restored ride.
@DavisOffRoad1
@DavisOffRoad1 Месяц назад
That’s one of the reasons for our detailed videos we feel like it helps the customers tremendously seeing what they’re getting. We also put a lot of faith in people actually representing Vehicles properly though and that’s the side of this one that is so wrong and we see so much of it happen, we are typically able to catch it, but it catches a lot of others their pants down unfortunately

@@DavisOffRoad1 actually it is important for people who want work done or a vehicle restored and don't want to be swindled out of there hard earned money for shops that respect the vehicle owners as you do. It is important however I do understand how not wanting to blast another shop for maybe 1 or 2 mistakes the mistakes you showed should not be acceptable especially the safety aspects .

O.k first of all guys, I've been watching just half of your video and I've commented before with you I am not afraid like 90% of the viewers are to say my name and what I am so proud of doing for 45 years over you-tube . I am a restorer also and am sickened to see this kind of truck build. I as you might remember am a generation older than you guys which even makes my past job even harder because it bumps me up another 25-50% in retail price bracket. Looking at your video here I can honestly say you probably have ---now I am not a square body expert but I am saying my comfortable whole sale area would be about 7-10K. That would leave me a bit of room to make it from it's current shit condition to something pretty acceptable. You guys know I am sure you can't make many of those deals and stay in business. This is the shit I live for. Thanks for showing their mistakes on their "show quality" build. This happens far too much. However the amount of class it takes to redo their bandaids and boogers without trashing them on broadcast here is hard to come by. Good on you. We are all in this business supposedly for passion of the craft, however for most that soons turns to bs baby back bitching about being broke or someone stirring a pot of drama. So it's cool to see someone pick it apart without the drama, just like the real life stuff we see EVERYDAY. We don't worry about who did it, we do it right so there is no need to question again.

After the cops found it. It went to the junkyard. I had to pay for it all. They did leave me a note on the driver's door in spray paint. I can't say it on RU-vid of what it said. I just put a new transmission in it. They took the engine, transmission, and tires. Brand new 33-inch tires as well.
