I just wanted to take moment to thank you for reviewing the reissues specifically instead of just leaving it as we only have the original review videos from years ago. I do wish they had done the standard versions instead of the Collectors one, I would have preferred those. I really appreciated the changing of the chest color feature on Bombshell. As for leaving it in on this set, as you said it is a toy based set so it had to have a purple chest to be "right", and they couldn't really remove the parts since it would lose the structural integrity of bug mode.
Got these coming in eventually on preorder. They're to complement my fanstoys with their insect modes. Those rear kickback legs are a bit disappointing, I must say. The bombshell looks pretty great in alt mode.
Had these on preorder since re-release announcement, paid $120 USD from bababobo. $220 feels kinda steep but again I did have them on preorder for 3 or 4 months. Nice review. Ironically I did pick up the FT 3 set release, but I did it late because I was on the fence so I paid around $450. If I had pre-ordered using bababobo I could have had the same set for around $325. Can't make comparisons yet though between the two myself; my badcube bugs are sitting at customs.
I'm still waiting on my set, and I'll definitely be painting Bombshell's chest gray. The whole purpose of Badcube's design was to make both modes more screen accurate, so why undo that piece of magic? It's completely nonsensical.
