Hi there manage to get the engine running again after removing the gasket, but I have to put the idle needle so deep just to set the carb to idle and set The Low speed needle at 1,25 Turn and the High Speed needle to 2,25 Turn just like the standar engine, is thin normal or Do You have another setting @@EZR ?
I recommend that the idle screw always goes in all the way. Then you set idle with the Low End needle. High end can only be tuned when the engine is hot and by ear. 2x turns is a bit high but not unheard of
Hello, my brother, I have such a motor, but when I pull the starter rope, I put my hand on the motor housing in order to hold it. I feel the shock of the spark plak in my hand and the motor does not start. What is the problem and what is the solution? Please help me. Thank you.
Hello. There are so many things it can be. The shock you feel is possibly a broken coil wire but not always the problem. You have to start by checking for any gasket leaks. Than check the carburetor. If you choke it, look inside if you see fuel. Next I will change the spark plug. If still not starting then you must see if the flywheel is the right distance from the coil.
Hey good video , needs some help . Order a big bore 30.5 cc engine for my 5T Baja . And now it’s all part . 🤦🏻♂️Lol come to find the needle bearing is bigger . And won’t go together . It’s a two bolt engine and the head is a 4 bolt . When can I do now to make this work ? New crank and etc some info be great . Parts list maybe . Thanks in advance. :-)
So sorry for the late reply Jason - Did you get this fixed? You will need the 4 Bolt Crank Case to Fit the 4 Bolt head. The 2 Bolts spares are almost history. The Rovan engines have the same needle bearing from 26 to 30.5cc
Good Day. The stock CY27 has a 35mm Bore and a 28mm Stroke, where the 30.5 needs a 30mm stroke so unfortunately it will not work. Best bet is a 28.5/29cc cylinder(36mm Bore). Very nice motor. Will bolt straight on your bottom end.
Hello...i have a baja 5b. The engine no longer switch on and my hobby store recommends me to get a replacement. I want to know what parts in the engine goes bad when you are told to get a replacement. Any suggestion?
Good Day Dev RC Lover. When the ring gets badly worn the engine will struggle or not start anymore. That is a easy fix, but if the cylinder inside gets scratched up by dust and debris then the head needs replacing. The ONLY time I will ever recommend a complete new engine is if you have a 2-Bolt motor or if you want more power. But other than that all parts are replaceable individually and get going again. You do not need a complete motor change for a broken part.

Yeah I feel so bad already. We've been in the process of moving and the shop has been very busy. Then videos take the back seat. Hope to get going soon
4 bolts are better, but only in gasket leaks. Other than that I have not had any problems. It's just pricey to spend money on 2bolt parts and then something breaks and you have to go 4 bolt anyway.
