I appreciate the effort that went into this, but there are some glaring issues with this video. 1. First and most noticeably, you have flood lenses on the knockoff light whereas the BD light has 4 spot lenses in the center and flood lenses on the outer two LEDs only. This makes for a very inaccurate comparison as far as output and throw are concerned. 2. This may or may not have been intentional, but in the overhead drone footage it's quite obvious that the ISO settings are different from one shot to the other. If you pause the video when just the headlights are on, you can tell that the headlights are more dim in the shot with the knockoff light bar. Again, I'm not sure if this was intentional or if the drone camera was trying to automatically compensate for something it detected, but the difference is definitely there. I'm a huge fan of Baja Designs, but unfortunately this wasn't a true apples-to-apples comparison.
I have been looking for a video comparing there for a long time, absolutely great job sir. You are the first to do this comparison aswell. I sat here and tried finding a video of someone doing this comparison a few months ago with no luck. You deserve a lot more subs then you have, great work. You got yourself a new sub.
I am a fan of BD. I run a couple of their products to include a 20” ONX+ on my personal vehicle. Great lights and great brand. Awesome video/ review. One thing, deals on BD products are out their with authorized vendors. No reason to ever buy a knock off if you do your homework and shop around. (I am just an average Joe and not a vendor).
🤣🤣that’s what thought and if they had the same lenses in to compare against each other that might drop 20% or 15% more light for ten times the price! I’ve been running a MICTUNING 52” curved lightbar for a year and a half on the roof in full UK weather and it’s just fine, lights up like daylight! Unless you’re doing the Baja I can’t see why you’d ever need that much light on a trail.
Loved the video so much that I watched both commercials. Lol. I have a 2019 CanAm Outlander, and thinking about Squadron Pro R’s. Do the squadrons come with the plug that matches CanAm factory wiring? Thx for the video.
Excellent video. Probably one of the best overviews I’ve seen. I run a lot of BD stuff on our Peterbilts for rear load lights and on my personal off-road toys. They’re definitely built well and hold up to abuse. One set of squadron pros if have still work after 3 separate motorcycles and UTVs and at least 4 pretty bad crashes 2 of which taco’d the mounting brackets.
That is awesome! That makes the company even better to see that people that work there, enjoy it. I would love to work with Baja on doing more videos like this on my channel. I was actually considering reaching out to them.
U most of never noticed one has a 100% flood and the other has 4 spot and 2 flood so ya one will be alot brighter 🤣 im also talking about the bigger ones not small
If you didn’t go looking for the worst on eBay then you must’ve just landed on it but you can find a very good quality one for a great price one with no ceiling problems with LED thundered right with anodized casting yes nowhere near the quality of Baja design but you can find a very good quality compared to the one you got that’s not even a fair chance if you bought a cheap good one you would be very close to Bajas design If you have pocket full of money to spend $3000 on the laser light that’s only one laser light and I think it’s 3600 not 700 you bought the cheap ones of Baja design not even the expensive ones
lol not even a apples to apples comparison. That's like comparing speed in a Prius to a Corvette and saying the Prius is inferior even though they are both cars. SMH
