own a gixxer naked since 10 months..its getting better wid each service..engine is the heart of all machines and japanese are gud at that..looks and everything else dont matter..pulsur are gud at oly luks
I went on a TRIP of about 180 kms and Went back today on my SF. It already went 1600 km when i started my journey so I did not hesitate to give it a go and wind it up. I clocked 120 km/hr while going in an overcast condition and didn't move or skid a bit. And while returning, the weather was sunny and i clocked 130 on speedo. And you can easily cruise in 115-120 km/hr forever. And i barely felt any heat in my legs, or felt any pain in my hand or back. So i cannot tell how much I'm impressed with my bike.
Karthikeyan Sekar the full fairing will not disturb the agility much but still you should be careful. Fold the mirrors and you could go through gaps easily. Have ridden any quarter or half faired bike like stunner or fazer or pulsar 220? If no then initially you might find it difficult to go through traffic gaps. But after some days it will become a piece of cake.
Benaka Aithal Very pleasing and exciting. This bike is aging like a wine.. Older the better.. Just do the minimum servicing that is required to make it run smooth and it will deliver everyday.
Nope.. See if you ride constantly on any road for too long any bike would be heated but nothing abnormal.. This engine do not get stressed easily.. so don't worry about heat.
I have got my SF 3 days and 200kms ago, So here's some useful initial impression of this bike- 1. This bike is Gorgeous and believe me when I say, Its better than the pictures of its own. 2. Get ready for some unreal attention in the streets. This bike is head turner and people are surely going to ask you about the price and engine capacity and everything.. 3. The front end is so Planted that i could not believe at once. The grip is Tremendous and if you can turn this bike in 50-60 kmph, the line it maintains is absolutely fantastic. 4. City Maneuvering is very good for a full faired bike. Feels light too. 5. The sound is fantastic, especially the exhaust note...Intake sound is good too. 6. The rear brake is ok, but the front Disk provides everything you need. Under heavy braking, the font portion stays solid. 7. The suspension setting for city is not too soft.. but still takes up the bumps without transforming any major blow to your body. 8. The Top portion of the bike is fairly light and thats why it feels lighter than my previous Honda Stunner which is actually 10kg lesser in weight. SF is easy to manage in parking bcoz of this. 9. Things I dont Like- The rear brake should have had more bite (though its not bad), The ground clearance is a factor when you are carrying a pillion and big speedbreakers can cause problems. The seat is ideal for two and nothing more(for my size). Not even a large backpack in between the two. And the Gear is a bit clunky right now; may be it will get better with time. AND LASTLY, The Turning Radius is a bit more that can cause problem in narrow areas.
watching compare videos of gixxer with every other 150-60 cc bikes from past few months and everyone is giving thumbs up for gixxer. pray for me guys, I don't have money to buy it.
Vroom Vroom..... completed 1000 km of joy ride. I am getting an unbelievable mileage of 47-49 kmpl even after riding in busy Bangalore traffic. Mileage figures may be hard to digest for the Gixxer SF rivals but fact is fact. Fully satisfied with my little beast. Since the bike is smooth n grounded, its easy to tackle traffic and firm in monsoon conditions. Its an all rounder.....! What else can you ask for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grateful to ***** for giving a wonderful machine. Once again thanks to Autocar India for the much needed comparison...!
nniteesh20 It is comfortable for youngsters. If the pillion is aged then it may not be comfortable for all situations. For instance if pillion is women wearing saree then if you move at avg speeds like 50kmpl then there are no issues. If you are at high speeds then its not good as pillion will be sitting sideways and there is no dedicated foot rest for side posture. So you have to be little careful.
Kartikeya Singhee The way you emphasize using well thought out words, the honesty is evident and you dont sound artificial at all unlike many reviewers in front of the camera. It's always a pleasure listening to you man!
All right then..Thanx for this amazing comparo.. Was waiting for it for a lifetime now. Looks like i made the right choice. after test riding the SF, i was so convinced that i didn't wait a minute before booking it..It is a complete package
Absolutely nice and well produced video. Gixxer SF is winner but little more plus points to AS for features like projector 55 w lights and longer wheel base suitable for adventure tours.
I like the Suzuki sf 155. And I am planing to buy this bike in July month. Thanks for this great review of both. Great work done by you guys. Once again thanks.
m just confused about which color to buy ..is the blue with suzuki logo reallly worth the bucks ???....m booking a gixxer sf tomorrow so help me out guyz...!!!!!!!!!
Very nice comparison guys. I really appreciate the effort and details you have put in. This video certainly will help me to make my decision. I am already leaning towards the Gixxer!
hey please give me a favor i am very much confuse that which Bike should i buy my requirement is pickup, look and mileage does suzuki is trustable coz R15 and faser is not for long drive as i already try that bikes so basically help me out that which bike should i go for bajaj or suzuki.
Why havent Suzuki put on that extra 6th gear on Gixxer as in its previous infamous bike 'Gs150R'? If that would have been done, then it would be surely unbeatable in 150 segment leaving behing the YZF R15 as well....
Why is Bajaj stuck with making motorcycles making power at higher rpms lately!? Right from commuters to sporty bikes all their engines make peak torque and power at really high revs! While it is fun on straight highways, city rides suck! The AS could have been such a torquey engine with its long stroke config. But bajaj decided to cram in those two extra valves to bump up the power! However our youth prefer power over anything just to prove their motorcycle is better. So bajaj does know how to sell a motorcycle!
I've red reviews about Gixxer that people are having much problems its engine touches to speed breaker and it starts rusting etc and the service is very bad .. I also like bajaj pulsar AS 150 because of its killer looks. Which one should I buy? Pulsar AS 150 or gixxer standard (not sf)?? I'm confused Because we have to see features as well as maintenance and service facilities. Can you pls give a brief information about those bikes?? Or if you have an alternate... Pls suggest.
I have a big confusion in Gixxer sf and re classic 350 which is better tourer and more reliable on long journey. Both bike are good looking and have own plus point re has big cubic capacity more torque and power and has a most comfortable driver seat and great heritage styling but it's lacks tubeless tyre where as Gixxer sf has smaller engine lower torque and power than re but I didn't heard any flaws about sf. So please sir suggest me which bike is better for touring and has lower maintenance cost and more reliable for me..
Nice detailed comparison.... Can u plz compare Yamaha Fazer FI V2 with Gixxer SF. and It will be very helpful if u review Fazer as well coz i cant find much reviews on Fazer...
But i m bit confused about back ride space... is it good for the 2nd passenger(ladies).??? pls replay anybody...which one better... sporty luk with good passenger space...
Hey, im confused between the gixxer sf and pulsar ns200. I need a bike made fir tracks with more power nd good looks.... Please help me as both the bikes fall in the same budget more or less.
hi i have a question what is the difference between power and torque delivery of an engine and which is best for commuting high torque engine with low power or high power with reasonable torque can you please make a video for it
Nice video ! Well done guys ! Please make a same type of comparison video between the pulsar rs 200 vs KTM rc 200 !! And if possible include a drag race
hi Autocar India Could you please help me decide between FZs V2.0 and Gixxer SF. which of the two has better Riding comfort for both the rider and the pillion? Moreover, does the Gixxer SF have cooling valves for the Engine since it is a fully faired Bike and has just air cooling system for engine. Would the engine be trustable for long rides? Yamaha was my favourite. But Im a little confused on trusting Suzuki.
Nalin Verma Suzuki is a well trusted bike all around. What i know about the cooling thing is SF and other Gixxers have their patented Technology called Jet Cooling for amazing engine cooling. 2ndly Sf has the air vents directed towards the engine that cools the engine just as much as it should. Coz the fairing is very uniquely built. So dont worry about that.
Soumik Banerjee Damm man could you just stop and praising only suzuki about how great it is there are other bike in the lot.And just stop commenting in each and every gixxer sf review about how great it is,don't be too much of a suzuki fanboy
Rock Lee I'm sorry if i annoyed you but u can get it from my Profile picture how much I love my bike and it happened after I bought it. I was not a suzuki fan before. And wherever I have commented, It was all the real facts.
Looking at Sf's body, I'm in doubt that after taking it over the breakers will the lower body get damaged or it's high enough from the ground to stay safe from DELHI breakers? (a bit higher than usual at some places)... Reply me soon coz I've to buy a bike asap😂😂
Please can u make a video comparing gixxer sf and bajaj pulsar 220f because they both are nearly same price but it is 220 cc and sf is 150 cc and 220 is having front and back disk brakes but gixxer is only having front as disk break....!!!!!!
sai sachin Lol..you are funny. You dont compare a 155cc bike wid a 220cc one. All Japanese bikes are little bit costlier compared to indian bikes but that is not enough for comparison.
Bajaj is no match to the Japanese giant ........ never buy Bajaj, it has poor engine life and durability ...... I had Pulsar 180 and then 220.. i have learnt my lesson the hard way... Bajaj is never worth money, their bikes are trash after 35-40 k KMS..
+DPS I own a Pulsar 150 first gen, clocked 1lakh+ kms on it, and I haven't faced any issues so far (except some negligible maintenance cost) If topping up the engine oil, or changing it once in every 6k kms or so is very difficult to do, then it's not really the bikes fault, but yours. The Japanese bikes are good, but doesn't make the Pulsar inferior in any way.
Good for you Bro. Enjoy the bike. But me or my friends couldn't extract more than 40 k km from any of the Pulsars even after getting it serviced after 5 k kms . Anyways I no longer ride bikes. Use cars all the time.. . Peace. All the best
I just bought Gixxer sf sp version..and yes it is awesome..used pulsor 150 earlier but Gixxer is different guyz..you will feel that delivery that refinement.. oh yes Now I am in Gixxer world 😂😂
Shaishav Shah don't go with hornet , I don't like looks !! SF on the other hand has great look !! handling is way better super in SF , I rode on sf nearly 800 km till now and yes going day by day its becoming awesome !! If you ride single because pillion seat in sf is very uncomfortable , go for it !! hornet has only three things better from sf pillion seat space is better CBS ( Sf has only double disc not CBS ) bikes height or ground clearance is more in hornet !! I have told you all things otherwise engine refinement pickup performance gear box clutch in all departments gixxer sf is boss !!
Shaishav Shah starting is 35kmpl and after servicing its give you 40 !! gixxer sf !! bike is awesome , you can test drive and for this sporty bike 40kmpl is dissent mileage !
Autocar India Thanks for your wonderful review. Please do a review on Yamaha Fazer Version 2.0. I cant find any good reviews on it. Waiting for it!!!!!!!!!!!
Gokul V D Hi, We wont be doing a comparison with the Fazer. We have compared the Gixxer vs FZ, and we know that the Fazer wont be able to better the SF. The AS, being an all new bike, was an unknown quantity, hence we pitted it against that.
SF: Better Stability, top speed (without much vibration) and of course big ass radial ;) AS: vibrates a lot at high speeds (lack of body aerodynamics), ..
A review very well done as expected from Autocar India, thanks to karthikeya and rayo. I am a pulsar fan still own a p180 from 2002. I am a bit biased as you all guys can think LOL ... Yes, the gixer sf trumps the pulsar As 150 on many counts but if you drag each other on open straight roads the more power of the pulsar As 150 comes into play whereas gixxer gets slower than pulsar at speeds more than 110 kmph. I did get an open road to test the both back to back pulsar did 133 kmph and gixxer 131 kmph and no more. I liked the pulsar though, it felt so comfortable compared to gixxer on open roads at higher speeds above 110 kmph. AMEN no offence to anyone though. CHEERS
Come on.. don't be so mean. Pulsar gives 45+ mileage even you ride it above the economy speed. I guess you should provide with the correct information.
you people have helped a lot to all of indians watching youtube or reading magazines to choose the bike we want as per our requirements and styling , but friends i would like to say bajaj may by higher on rpms and power but bajaj cannot match honda , suzuki and yamaha as these are japanese giants and he research they do while making he engines is far more sophisticated than bajaj , japanese look at every aspect, gixxer is the best bike produced after unicorn 150cc only if they had more pillion space would have been a choice of many other consumers also then
Is there anyone who can give me the actual measurement of valve clearance of this bike. Gixxer 150 sf. I need to know the exact measurement badly.. please reply.. please give me a written reference too
Don't write off pulsar this bike long overdue and bajaj knows indian road well, the engine is more powerful both bikes are different but bajaj will rock
I owned gixxer sf one of the best bike with sporty look none other bikes in its segment even cant stand in front of it.it cost only 95k in lucknow.and the shit fZ also cost the same which do not have any comparable look and power in front of gixxer sf. Best bike under 1lakh
i do like the review by autocar but , autocar india you have to copywrite your video.....because when i try to search for review i get lot of video link but most of them are duplicate uploads of autocar videos with advertisement in it !!!!
