Are we gonna ignore how Ali Jr was the only one that Baki was aiming to kill? That is why you don't try to take the girl of the second strongest to live
I think it was a lesson. He wasn’t that mad about stealing his girl. He taught him that the “kill without being killed” motto isnt what a fighter should follow
@@thomaspreda Jack was still weaker than Baki at that point. Hanayama and Oliva probably would have done the same. Baki is so far above them by this point that you can't take an L from any of them to even be considered.
@@normandy2501 yeah thats true, although I still believe Jack wasnt given a fair chance in the maximus tournament seeing that his body got all weak after trowing up and baki just had seconds left until he passed out.
@@normandy2501 you can't use that logic cause baki improved as well as Jack after the tournament. Then after the Chinese tournament arc baki improved, then in prison baki improved, then before and during his fight against unchained baki improved. Jack is obviously weaker than baki during this arc but baki litterally went through massive improvement. I'd say a closer fight would be baki in Chinese arc but yet again ali never improved, he only perfected his technique but for him to master it and get stronger he needed to undergo what orochi wanted to teach him. But Ali nevers put his life completely on line
i gusse his months of extra training arcs didnt work huh HAHAH, he was givin months to fully recover from the beatdown and train yet it didnt work...wannabe mc
Doppo and the others have way too much pride. They still think they are strong but by this point in the story they aren't even close to Baki. Even if Doppo fought Baki it would last 10 seconds max.
I think it comes from them not having fought Baki before. IMO Baki had the easier route in the tournament from S2, with the exception of Jack and Retsu towards the end. So, to them they're all around the same level, but nah the homie it out of their league.
at this point of the manga. baki is no longer human. he has experienced physical pain, mental pain, emotional pain, anger and lastly physical pleasure (sex). he is complete.
The whole arc was basically just used to set up Baki and make him ready for Yujiro. Ali Jr was just a distraction. I can see why yall are disappointed tho
Ali jr was hyped up and then thrown like this to show two things how far Baki strength has become and how sport fighting doesn’t compare to life or death fighting.
I like how in the anime Ali junior is the only fighter who doesn’t have any bloodlust whenever any character is in a fight their eyes have a small red dot in Ali’s it’s blue maybe that’s why he lost he wasn’t completely prepared to take a life or give his life
They really should bring Ali Jr back. His development from cockiness on his high horse, to becoming grounded with everyone else to then being down in the dirt. I really felt bad for him because he was relying to much on his liking for Baki’s girlfriend, I want a redemption arc for him, especially being black I just wanted him to have a god damn good round.
he should have got up and have the fight from the opening with baki where their equal and then he overpowers baki for like 30 seconds and shakes baki core and that feeling would remind him of yasha ape, jack and yujiro, his strongest opponents. baki would hve to take jr seriously (because baki himself said jr could one shot him) and use the demon back utimately bodying him anyway. But this would prove jr's growth and strength.
@@SuzukiT friendly reminder that itagaki sensei is pretty open about his japanese elitism... which is kinda visible in his creation, that by definition if the character is from japan they have an edge if their opponent is supposed to be of equal strength... tho people seem to forget that baki himself trains almost nonstop while alai jr is straight up a playboy with a side of world class boxing talent(which basicly means hes a punching bag)...
@@crustybomb115 Yep, Japan is the strongest. I hate when Oliva defeated by Baki while the author did not even draw baki trained in the prison. Oliva was nerfed to hell after that
bruh, the author explained it 100 chapters after this crap. He definitely tried to cuckold Baki but changed his mind or trolling hard. Not to mention that Kozue went MIA completely after that.
10:07 I couldn't agree more. Like we already knew Baki was going to win(this is his anime after all), but don't hype up Mohammad Alai Jr. the way they did and make Baki's friends say that he would be complete in this fight, just for us to get hyped up about it and then allow the fight to be as one-sided as this. It makes Alai Jr.'s arc feel like a complete waste of time as he was hyped up and disregarded like fodder.
Not sure if your caught up to manga but they basically so this same thing with c character called Atlas (I'm pretty sure he's meant to be based off Conner Mcgregor) except it happens over the course of like 3 chapters
@@rhysjonsmusic Oh no, I'm not caught up with the manga, but that's crazy that they have that same thing happen to another character. I will check it out though, thanks for replying.
@@sergiomiguelchavezhernande2195 Sorry for the late response, but thank you for your assessment of what happens afterwards, and I might give the newer chapters a chance. Thanks for commenting.
Most characters that go through this in Baki com back stronger, but honestly I'm not sure Jr. will get such treatment... He really got shafted and I don't think anything has been shown about him ever since... Heck, I'm not sure we've ever heard anything, not even a passing word or panel...
Sorry if i didnt have to turn my volume so damn low that i cannot hear your content just to protect my eardrums because of your sceam i would have subbed...
Bruh that’s legit the same level as tough love at my house, it was so bad that I got freakin depression over it. (It’s better now but for like 3years it was just a constant question on why I was still there). Ik know parents say stuff like it’s go your own good but if the way you treat your family drives them to want to end it all then you are not doing a good job
Bro what are you talking about kozue is freaking gorgeous, by the context of the story at least real we can’t even see what she what look like in real life
Bad booking, they should of let Ali mentally recover, all those damn times Baki could of fought Ali Jr? Baki could of been the one on the ground if Baki didn't reject Ali in the woods
Baki just said it as plain as day, "He was prepared to take a life, but not prepared to risk his." meaning Ali Jr. is just too much of a fucking simp. What does he does he do after this? He goes up against Jack Hanma.
Someone need tells to him, is Jack "Hanma" and not "Hammer". Jack is the old brother of Baki. And no this not a spoiler, because this come from the Second season of anime of 2001. Baki: Saidai Tournament 2001
technically speaking theyre half-brothers... same dad differant moms, regardless ringnames are a thing and nobody other than baki(and yujiro) know that... so everyone knows him as "jack hammer"...
@@crustybomb115 As far as I know half brothers, they're still brothers. And no, in the final match of the Tournament Jack enters the ring wearing a cape that says "Hanma" so everyone who was present in the arena now knows that. Watch this part of the 2001 anime again.
I’ll never get how people even thought ali had a chance This dude was beaten by all the cast before even touching baki This arc/plot point was silly and Unneeded After Ali lost to jack which essentially was his humbling/Initiation into the “game” there was zero need for him to face off with baki But this arc is nothing compared to the Musashi arc which is the worst arc of this series
@@SuzukiT Yeah, iam new to Baki because of KoL but Prison arc Baki was so bad & anti climatic finaly cause Baki literally low diffed Oliva with BRUTE FORCE like WTH????
I'm not disappointed in Ali's son I'm disappointed in the writers producers and creators of this anime. They didn't have to make this dark turn they could have made it better than this and if you ask me they may as well of not had them on there they embarrassed Ali by having slob out of his mouth they didn't have to do that then they made his son a damn simp that got his ass destroy by everybody they just wanted to make Baki the hero as usual with these animes. And another thing I have to say regardless of what anybody says they cannot get black characters right for nothing I have not I have yet to see any black character from anime represented in a good way. All in all it just be ended up being a big disappointment.
i love baki but not gonna lie this arc sucked... like actual awful writing.... its so odd cause the rest of the series is awesome... i wonder what the author was thinking while writing this cause it just doesnt make sense
