She reminds of Mumma of the local sheep herder she lives in the same house as Puppa and him. They have no electricity or gas she cooks over an open fire or beside it in an old range. Makes the best goat cheese. We are neighbour's a couple of kilometres away. But unfortunately it looks like they will have to give up their way of life and move to town as they are very old now and Eusebio is no spring chicken. It will be last of the old Spanish working the land arround here it's a tough life and it will be hard for them to leave. Great video and would enjoy more along the same lines. Thanks

I think you would be surprised at the increase in viewership if you did one of these a month. We have a channel over here call Depression Cooking that is extremely popular even though the star, Clara, has passed. Have her tell a story about her life and food when she was young in each video. She might not think it special, but any recipe she makes from scratch that is old would be very interesting to viewers.

Pigeon I thought you were someone else. HEY!!! Did you know that your name is Hebrew (now called Jewish) and in Hebrew it is actually Jonah? When the spirit fell on Messiah, it fell on him like it fell on Jonah and he began preaching repentance to sinners. If sin is transgression of Torah, as John wrote, then Jonah and Messiah preached to men to obey Torah. All that from an innocuous name.

@@rickatill44 Hey Richard! Greetings from Russia :) No worries, your words are not offensive at all! I just want to say that if you come to the Western part of Russia, to the large cities, then you won't find anything like this. The life there is in many ways just like in most Western cities. It helps that back in USSR men learned a lot about carpentry, so my father (like any other Russian man of those generations) is naturally a handyman. If anything is broken in the house, even some electrical wires, he can fix it.. I learned a few things from him, but my generation and younger ones are generally useless when it comes to being handy or fending for yourself... But I'm talking about people living in the cities. However, the fact that Russia is so vast and there are so many people scattered all over helps preserve those old ways of life.. So if you travel to the Altai region or further east to Siberia, there are hundreds if not thousands of little villages and remote places where people still live similar to how they did in the olden days.. The government can't develop many of these areas because they're too far apart and too small, also the weather conditions make it difficult. But thanks to that, that old culture and traditions are still preserved. Globalization didn't get to them so to speak :) Also, I just want to say that no matter how much we were all brainwashed (on both sides) during the cold way, people are people everywhere. Whether you're in Russia or in Canada or in the US, there are kind and goodhearted people that love their families and just want to live a good life (not necessarily in a materialistic way). They will welcome you in their homes and share some tasty buns :)

green street True. Most people can't even grow simple things as green beans, corn, radish or tomatos from seed. Never mind knowing how to save some seed for next year. Clue: try growing some beans and some popcorn seeds from the grocery store. Add some winter squash to that. This called THE THREE SISTERS. Look it up on youtube. They grow real well together, one of each seeds together. Repeat a few times. Any varieties you like, but use the same to avoid cross pollination. Happy gardening to everyon, eveywhere. ☺😊 By the way, if you grow popcorn, let it dry on the plant. Then harvest. I would not eat it as corn on the cob, not soft enough. But popcorn seeds grow more great popcorn seeds. If any corn plant grows two cobs, save seed from that plant. It might keep growing two cobs per plant. Also keep picking the green beans from your plants, they will keep producing. Then some time in the fall let some stay and dry in their pods right on the plants, those are your dry seeds for next year. Climbing varieties of beans can climb up right on the corn plants.

henry schumacher Now you know how, and you can make some too. Likely tastes way better from her traditional oven, but just do the best you can.😀

This is truly a beautiful lady. You are blessed to live near such a person. If you were to set up a "Go Fund Me" account for her, I'm sure that many of us would love to contribute to her quaint lifestyle.

Wow! I'm always amazed watching our older folks cooking or doing their craft. That looked like a full day of baking and there are buns for days. I don't think anyone minded the ads knowing the money was being donated to that sweet woman. Happy holidays to her and your family!

Mrs SR said that Galina did not sit down once during the 4 hours it took her to bake all this.

Survival Russia That's very impressive! I figured it took a lot longer than that but I'm still very impressed. Thank you for sharing this peek into her life and for being such a great neighbor to her.

I watched the ads all the way through... Until I came across one that was 25 minutes. I just couldn't do it bro. I hope Babushka gets my penny. Mrs. Survival Russia gets great Kudos from me, for doing a fine job, and also sneaking in the footage when she was told to stop recording. Guilty pleasures that aren't harmful can be quite fulfilling.

So many thanks for this video. Your wife did a fantastic job on the subtitles. It is definitely a lot of work to add them all. And of course many thanks to the grandma who let you film it all. So looking forward to trying this recipe later.

I'd adopt her as my Grandma seams like you'd get a lot of wisdom, love, hugs, food and most importantly she seems like she'd be quick with a swat from a wooden spoon if you deserved it lol. Take care of her you got a gem right there.

@Karl Müller yeah, these days if you did that you'd end up labelled a child abuser. But for those of us who got such corporal punishment, it taught us valuable lessons. None of us went to jail. Thw bible says "Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me". That's how you know they care, they correct you.

Karl Müller There truly is a God in the heavens, and I solemny testify of this truth. He is a loving God, also fair and just. He knows you. Read James 1:5 in the New Testament. Go to Him in prayer, and seek answers. Search and you will find.
