Baldur's Gate 3 saved my life, I was completely lost after my father's death, I couldn't work, I couldn't study, I didn't even want to eat. Last year, I gave life a chance and started playing Baldur's Gate 3, since I've always been a fan of the Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 games. And I confess, it may seem silly, but I was able to feel alive again after enjoying this work of art, gave me the anxiety of living every day to be able to enjoy this beautiful work that Larian Studio created. I know the history of this company, I know that Swen Vincke gave his blood to make it what it is today, I am eternally grateful for what you, the Larian team, created, for me Baldur's Gate 3 was more than an experience, it was a life therapy.

Uncannily resembles some of the movie LOTRO scenes where I found myself thinking "I don't recognize this version of Frodo... I think he might secretly be the villain, and Sam is going to have to kill him to save the day". Seriously, this explains so many of the choices Elijah Woods made in how he portrayed (or destroyed) Frodo's character.

My wife and I have a weekly session of BG3. I love D&D games and she was like “meeh”. After she was lured into one session she was hooked. At one point my monitor broke, and I had to get a new one. I had a wide screen on loan from work, and as I was ordering my new Widescreen, she stopped me in mid purchase and changed the order from one to two screens. From the very start I made a rule for myself, that I would explain specific game mechanics if she asked. And I would never tell her what to do in a situation. It was always her choice, even when she deviates mid battle after we had planned our approach to a situation. When she is in conversation I do not interfere. All choices are hers. My proudest moment was when my companion and I had died, her companion had died, but she kept on and on fighting 8 bad guys. I sat watching her fighting them for at least half an hour. AND SHE BEAT THEM. Saving the party. We never “go back and do it again because we made a bad choice”. Nope. We carry on and have to live with having killed Jaheira (by mistake) shortly after we met her. Oh. And the most important thing. NEVER telling her after a skirmish, what I think she should have done. We are a hundred hours into this game (we played EA a lot), at the lower city, and she is already talking of a rerun where she is going to make a lot of different choices. It is great to have this for us. Brings us closer I think. Can’t wait for friday to arrive and hear her usual “Are we going Monster Bashing?”.

Sean, much like Sam, is the paragon of virtue here. Elijah, meanwhile, seems to be doing a Sméagol run XD

Sean Astin is my hero. Met him 6 years ago, and he was kind enough to record a video for my wife and me announcing that she was pregnant with our 2nd child. We shared that video with all of our friends and family for our official announcement. Such a cool and selfless thing to do, especially when he probably deals with all kinds of requests from fans all the time.
