Unless they patched it out very recently, tavern brawler does affect wildshape. However, it only buffs the attack rolls, not the damage rolls. I still think that's worth it if you use strength based wildshapes a lot. Take Owlbear, for example. You get a strength of 20, so a +5 to your attack roles. With Tavern Brawler, that becomes a +10.
Ooh you're right, that's interesting. That seems like a bug to me, do we think the attack rolls shouldn't be getting the extra +5 or that the damage should be but isn't? I can remove that portion from the video, I would just hate to do that if the attack roll shouldn't be getting those extra +5 then they patch and remove it haha
@@GamingYourOwnWay Hard to say what the devs intention was. You could make a case for either the feat working or not working for wildshape. I think some other feats also work with wildshape.
My first play through was Circle of Spores. I had 8 strength, 14 dex, 14 con, 12 int, 16 wis, and 12 cha. Shillelagh was my best friend. Quarterstaves and torches (count as clubs) were my weapon of choice. Shillelagh not only let me use my wisdom instead of my strength for attack and damage it also buffs the damage to 1d8 if it isn’t that already. Quarterstaves are 1d6 if you are using a shield and 1d8 if two handed but is 1d8 if use use a shield and Shillelagh, meaning you get a buff to damage as well as the spores extra damage. Shillelagh is also a bonus action and lasts 10 turns so you can still attack or use halo of spores (very effective for me in my play through). It’s not concentration either so you can still have a concentration spell up in addition to all the summons.
I would be a Druid that accidentally wild shapes into a blue whale in the middle of a forrest or something. I would be the least reliable Druid in the grove.
I mean, if you wild shaped into a whale after flying 150m above an enemy party as a raven, you may have just become the MOST reliable Druid in the grove.
