Astarion: centuries of anguish - Shadowheart: a decade of unseen torment boiling to the surface - Karlach: literally going through hell- Wyll: the pain of sacrifice - Laezel: the betrayal of her most cherished beliefs - Gale: kinda grumpy, maybe even slightly miffed.

Can we all appreciate they had the foresight that players might reclass all origin characters into barbarians. They actually had variations for everyone, that's crazy!

Voices 2-7: *yells a little loud but dont wanna disturb the neighbour's* Voice 1 and 8: *literally watches their family grt slaughtered in the studio*

This game's sound design is an underappreciated aspect. Fucking eldritch blast? Fireball? Call Lightning? Glorious sonic architecture

Voice 1 is so good, I legit got a bit intimidated when I first heard it lmao

everyone is talking about the voices but can we all appreciate the sound effect itself? It feels so powerful that it gives me the shivers I especially like the last moment of the pre-cast sound, like a hyper-fast beating heart... It feels so strong that you can almost touch the force.

Holy hell Shadowheart can do some crazy rage screams. This is awesome.

Gosh I absolutely love how Barbarian Rage is done in this game, from the ground shattering beneath your feet to the battle cry as your character rouses their temper and fury.

V1 is great, but damn, i did not expect SH to sound SO good. I almost want to restart my barb playthrough as her.

Voice 1 is awesome, Halsin is the only companion that screams like that, just deeper.

Exactly what I wanted. Voice 1 is my pick. So hype hearing it in game. Barbarian not as fun on tabletop but this rage totally makes it in game

Wait I did not realize durge had a unique rage sound. My first playthrough was durge and I went oathbreaker/berserker. Screaming was always SO satisfying. That voice NAILED it

Coming back here to comment: Minthara has THE BEST RAGE ROAR I've heard in this game. Can't find any audio clip online, but everyone should check it out. Definitely belongs in this awesome video. Thanks for your work

Different rage types have a different effect sounds too. Eagle rage has an eagle screech!

For anyone whose reading this: barbarian/rogue is a VERY viable multiclass, and the Dark Justiciar armour is a medium armour, which barbs can wear. Something to consider if you respec Astarion and Shadowheart as barbarians! : D (Also, and as a morally righteous Zariel Tiefling, Karlach actually makes for a great Paladin)

S+ tier: Voice 1. The first one I ever heard when Barb came out in EA, and it's still my absolute favorite of them all. S tier: Shadowheart, voice 4. These will be my go-to's for any future playthroughs with a female barbarian A tier: Karlach, Astarion, voice 6, voice 2. Respectable performances overall, at worst I'd say there's only one scream from each that aren't too fantastic. B tier: Voice 5, Lae'zel. Not great, not terrible, wouldn't be outright opposed to playing these as barbarians, but I'd still prefer some of the higher tier ones. C tier: Voice 3, voice 7, voice 8, Wyll. Not too fond of these tbh, I can tell they tried but they're either too short, too quiet, or just straight up sound goofy. D tier: Gale. Just stick to spellcasting, man...

Props to the VA's and the devs to think ahead and props to the mad lad sitting thru all the characters, respecs, reloads, just to hear all the variations

I swear there must be at least 1 more rage scream for Karlach It's not here, but I love the one that's more guttural, it starts with a lower rumble in her voice, kind of like her rage in the fake paladins quest

Brb, respeccing Shadowheart into a Barberic (kidding, but I'm definitely gonna do it sometime; her and Astarion's actors just hit it out of the park. Gale's too, but in the sense that it's HILARIOUS. Exactly as OOC-sounding as it should be.)

V1 has the best overall set but v3 c will always be my favorite when something emotionally happens. The amount of anger panic or fear in it makes those moments better.

As a regular Karlach user, there are quite a few screams that are really cool but there is something comforting about the OG barbarian mama K's cries.

Omg, Gale's screams are too funny... I might do a run with him as barb just because I can. xD (maybe adding some of the beefier companion characters as sneak builds on top because they tend to have lines that reflect that they're not made to be stealthy, haha)
