@@elenalizabeth Nah, a cat can have wings and still be a cat. A cat can have wings, horns, and scales and still be a cat. (Toothless the dragon: totally a cat.) But even a normal furry creature with all the normal cat things and nothing extra isn’t 100% a cat unless it knows how to compel petting, refuse to believe its food dish is full unless it’s just right, and step on the humans’ bladder.

I think it’s more he’s the pet and she’s the indulgent caretaker letting him go on his silly adventures as long as he offers up tribute. Y’know, like every other cat that has ever existed.
There’s a clip out there where an asshole PC KILLS Tara and gale’s scream haunts me!! Even on RU-vid I cannot imagine hurting magical flying kitty. Tara is the best thing about this or any game

Omg aww I remember a line where Gale mentions he first summoned Tara when he was a boy and his parents would let him get a pet. Makes sense how Tara is so protective and nurturing of Gale like a mama or an auntie. She's been his friend since he was a little boy. 😭
I love her. She is what cat lovers know cats to be. They are such loving beasties. I'd sacrifice the world for her. She is the truest friend, the most supportive companion, and the most loving family member. I'd feed her all the fish, pigeons, and whatever else she likes. I bet she is the softest, fluffiest lady.
My favorite part of my Gale playthrough. Was so pleasantly shocked to see her there. Also hilarious how she reacts to other people trying to talk to her

So playing Gale’s Origin is the only way to get Tara to join your camp? On one hand it’s nice to have additional/alternate/content for future runs. But this cat lady is too cute to not be a permanent addition to everyone’s camp
I like to think Gale can’t *actually* understand Tara like he has a permanent speak with animals thing going on, he’s just so good at understanding her body language and expression from their bond he knows what she’s meaning to say.
I always thought the "arcane hunger" was a simple way to explain the orb and the need to consume magic items, because it operated more like sickness temporarily quelled by medicine (especially since the "medicine" stopped working at one point.) But if Tara was the first to bring back magic items for Gale, it makes sense she would call it "food" because that's what cats do to their owners- I mean butlers. They bring toys and sometimes dead animals back to provide for their useless human friend. Tara calls it hunger, because for a cat- I mean majestic tressym, what else would it be? In any case, we all call it hunger because Tara calls it hunger.
Tara sounds like auntie Ethel, probably just the same voice actor but I won't lie my cantrip finger twitched a bit when I heard that voice. I love that cat though.
if you romance someone playing gale origin, does she interact with your intended? does she have opinions on other companions, period? and them on her? i must know. (also i must start a new playthrough immediately)
I’m about to finish my third play through but non of it was with one of the origin characters. Just tav and dark urge. Gale looks interesting to start tho
It's a literary device to help you slip into the role of the character more by you giving a mental voice to them with the dialogue options. In theory... ...It also saves so much time and money in the recording booth.
@@sintanan469 good thing you said in theory because that shit has never worked in practice, so many games do it and it always feels unnatural like one sided 'conversations', it's too uncanny to not hear one half of the dialog it takes you out rather than immerse you. i've been way more immersed in games where you didnt play a self insert just because they actually talked and felt real. and it's one thing DA:inquisition did really well, giving you avatar voice lines. so yeah they say that but i KNOW it's all about budget, everytime, i'm not mad at it because BG3 is so full of content and we cant demand everything, but still, i wish they voiced the cutscenes at least, they already took the time to voice every dang NPCs
Is the good personality. Bruce has a monster inside of him hes scared it could kill millions, yet instead of hiding out off the grid he thinks he can control it and willingly endangers everyone. The hulk kniws better but has a child like mind and cannot communicate well. So what we get is “Leave Hulk aline!”
