Yep, I was of the same mind. Battlemaster is by far the best fighter subclass in the game atm

3barb 6 battle master and 3 thief rogue would also be quite nice way of going with things. Not sure if I'll go with that or 4/8barb-fighter. Not too many feats on that build now that I think about it. Oh well. I'll flip a coin once i get to the late game.

ah yes the bull chest, I have that one. and before max level and the piece of gear I'm wearing now I was using that. There is also a CON one although I forget where.

Fighter lock is lovely too. Lock paladin even more so. Bonus shout out too Fighter2/Lock2/8sorc

I don't think it works like that since the Eagle strike requires an action.

@@WolfsGoRawr but you can make another attack as apart of that attack action

just make sure you have the dex item to do so, otherwise you will get hit hard with that negative modifier

Personal preference. Third attack is really powerful so hard to say no against it. But being able to tank all damage (except physic) in the game is also really nice. And I valued being able to tank god over beating him 1 more time per round

Heavy armor makes rage not work. If you want full fighter and go full combat master you can do so just fine.

Correct! Zariel was reference the sub-race tiefling choice had you decided to make your own tiefling. Karlach is also a Zariel tiefling (check top right)

@@WolfsGoRawr yes but you said “Zariel starts as a barbarian.” Just pointing out that her name is Karlach and not Zariel.

@@WolfsGoRawr I'm just here to say @AvroWick is right on his notes EDIT: Zariel is the fallen angel who runs the first layer of the Nine Hells, who bought Karlach and inserted the Infernal Engine on her. Lore is a VERY important topic in RPG. Hope I can emphasize it enough.

nothing wrong with staying pure barb until you can do the 5/4 split

I actually was doing this build myself without the video, what I did was 5 on barbarian to get the extra attack, then 2 into Fighter at Level 8 I respec'd to 3 Barb to get the spec (I am using Wild Magic instead of Bear, works just as well I think) and 5 Fighter (to reach the Extra Attack) from there its what the video says, I did one level to Barb to reach 4 for the feat, and then the rest into Fighter for more manouvers and the 2 feats at the first feat I took Great Weapon Master, way too good to skip, you can just disable the passive if the enemy AC is high and you still keep the extra attack on kill/crit at the second feat, I took Athlete to round STR and extra jump at the third, max out STR with an ASI at the fourth, I'll go Savage attack as well basically exactly the same strategy as the video, but I respec'd on 8 instead of 9

They may be "bland" but they make up for it in martial power, for sure.

No, extra attack features should not stack. There was / is a bug with warlocks deepend pact and extra attack stacking that should not work but they are patching that out in the next big one if they haven't already.

Its literally in a lot of places if you lock pick and explore plenty of stuff. I've seen it in the most random places and had it drop from the most random mobs. Especially in act 2 / 3

@@WolfsGoRawr Huh perhaps moderators on Baldurs Wiki haven't discovered more. Good to know though. Thought I had to decide whether to give to Karlach or use for weapons and armor.

@@oleksandr2234 you go to the blacksmith that was in Act 1. He appears in Act 2 and 3 but in Act 2 he uses it to make you armor and in act 3 he helps a certain character using it.

Heavy armor messes with rage, so if you want to use rage you can't wear heavy armor.

Personal preference if you have access to both weapons. I did not have access to Nyrulna at the time of making this video.

Barbarian Unarmored Defense is Con Mod + Dex Mod. Wear no armor and 18 Dex (+4) and 16 Con (+3) = 17.
