Baldurs Gate 3 - PS5 Controller and Controls Guide Part 2: Combat 

Came here for the controller tips, stayed for that buttery narration.

i'm a newbie in BG3, stuck on the beach (died 3 times being way too optimistic ^^), this was really informative and calmly presented. I can now get back to my controller with more insight.

There are some great tutorials on BG3 but very few regarding PS5. Yours are great, since I’m just starting playing this on a PS5, and l’m learning tricks on every video. Thank you!

Just came here from Part 1. Thank you for making these. I'm taking a huge amount of time in the very beginning of BG3 to understand all the controls, rather than just diving in blind. There is so much the game doesn't tell you about controls, or at least doesn't entirely present in a user-friendly tutorial.

Great video! Love the calm energy and informative content. Larian's controller support has always been among the best in the genre. I've played the DOS games extensively on PS4/5 and never felt like I've missed any functionality, except in ease of inventory management, but it becomes easy once you get used to using the tools they give you

I bought this game 2 days ago via PS Store. I have been watching videos and reading tips, first things to do, etc. for the past 2 days. To say I am confused would be a major understatement. I tried to start the game last night, and already screwed up when creating my character. I deleted it and started all over again. I started to walk around, didn't take the brain, walked through a sphincter (seriously?), and met an elf looking creature who kept telling me we have to get to the Nealm (?) It took me 20 minutes just to do that. Then came my first combat area. My god! What an absolute nightmare this was. Not only do I have NO IDEA what the hell I am doing, I can't even read the words on my tv screen, given how small the text is. As I said, frustrated would be an understatement. I have NEVER played a game which is so complicated, so slow, and so annoying. I have no idea why the company made game play so slow? One battle can take 20 minutes. Why do I need to cast spells, scroll through dozens of combat options, just so I can slash the guy with sword and be done with it. Sorry, this makes no sense to me. I dropped $75 on this, and Sony won't give me a refund. So in short, I'm screwed and just have to hope that I actually figure out what I need to do. These videos do offer some help and I will continue to watch them.

Thanks so much for your videos. I’m new to BG and have been really struggling as the game is so complex. Your vids are the clearest I’ve seen so far. I know you go into some details of tactics during the fight here but I’d love to see a deeper combat guide where you explain your choice of spells and actions and the order in which you go about a fight.

I have planed to buy the game on ps5. But i have zero knowladge on D&D. Zero. Is the game and combat too complicated?also does it plays good on controler?

My game is unplayable on PS5. It was ok at the start but well into act 2 and it has become so difficult to play. When I let go of the directional thumbstick, the cursor on the screen keeps moving. This means playable characters often keep walking when I want them to stop - and this has triggered fights - and it makes it difficult to tag enemies in combat. It also makes selecting from the weapon wheel hard, and even selecting a companion from your group to speak to them of whatever. It's gotten gradually worse to the point I can no longer play. It's a shame because I was enjoying it.

Can you play online with other people? If so can you show how this works?

One thing that is making me pissed at this game... there's a function to use a light signal to other players when you want to show them something at the World... I just can't find it in PS5, FFS!!!

Thanks for the tips but BG3 on PS5 SUX! I would not recommend it to anyone! It is bugged in too many ways. Some places it robs you of gear and doesn't always give you the items you are supposed to get at the end of quest. I gave up in act 3 because it's just bogus! BUYER beware!
