This ballet power move is one of the more vigorous steps performed at the ballet barre. The coordination of "striking" the foot against the floor takes time to master, but a good frappé strengthens the feet, ankles, legs, and posture in preparation for jumps and pointe work. Precision is key, so be sure to take your time with the details!
