If I had a Time Machine, on my top five things to do is to go to this concert. Kids today have NO IDEA what this was like. Not a single person holding a phone, posting #bandaid and making duck faces. When we went to a concert, you were there. 100%. And what an absolutely amazing group of talent. If only I could go back in time and witness it live.

I was 20 years old. I was scheduled to work that day. I asked the people I worked with if they could replaced me. In the end, I got the day off, but had to work 14 days straight after that. Never had regrets. I saw the whole thing, from Status Quo to the final ending in Philadelphia. One of the best memories of my life.

Imagine it, the middle of summer, a baking hot day, you’ve been in your feet for hours, and you’ve just witnessed the greatest concert of all time, everyone comes out at the end to sing a Christmas song, and absolutely everyone is having the time of their life. Would have been incredible to have been there. That shot of the crowd bouncing just after George at 1.25ish, they’re loving it!!

Amazing how many iconic legends we have collaborating for this iconic hit. Phil Collins with his legendary passionate drumming skills, George Micheal, Sting, Boy George, Bob Geldolf, and many more from the original, but David Bowie, and Freddie should have been apart of it since the start, sad to see that we're slowly losing them one by one, but lets all be grateful. I was 15 years old in1985 when I watched this on TV...the joy, the hope, the humanity I witnessed. Now it's 2022 and I'm 51 years old. Nothing has changed...nothing was fixed.

I'm so glad I was born in 1975. I lived during these times and the world was such a beautiful place without the Internet and mobile phones. I would give anything to go back to those days, and these videos take me back. I still can't believe how good a voice George Michael had, amazing vocalist.

I hate that I was born in this generation. My heart belongs to the music of this time. None of my friends understand what good music is they only listen to modern music while I only listen to 60s-80s. If anyone attended Live Aid whether Wembley or JFK I would love to hear some stories! Even if you saw anyone of these artists live!

Can we show some appreciation to Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure for pulling off not one but two concerts on the same day on two different continents and bringing so many artists together to donate their time and talent for a noble cause? Getting that many artists to share the stage in one place is impressive but to do that twice could be considered a miracle.

Freddie's got such a natural light. There are dozens of people on stage and your eye goes automatically chasing him... and only him. a god .

I WAS THERE! 95° ALL DAY LONG. I WAS JUST TO THE LEFT OF THE SOUNDBOARD AND ENGINEERING BOOTH. About 15 feet from the front of it. I bought 4 tickets, and the other 3 went to my Air Force "friends", Kenny Marchon, Roger McCauslin, and John McGrath. We just got out to the Coach when Led Zeppelin came out in Philadelphia. I still have the Tshirt, Programme, and Ticket Stub. Plus I shot 11 rolls of 24 exposure 35mm film. I have about 250 pictures from the day. Something that will NEVER happen again in the future...

I will forever be sad that this was a once in a lifetime event, and I missed it. At least the recordings will forever live on! 🙏🏼🤟🏼
