Hi Foxx, loving all your videos especially this series of videos on the Perfect Grade Millennium Falcon. I've just took the plunge & ordered my very own PG Millennium Falcon & I can't wait to get it started. I've been following your videos soooo closely because I'm only just getting back into model building. Was a favourite pastime when I was a wee lad, now at 49 I'm excited to get back into it. I've invested in all the gear, tools, paints & adhesives plus accessories including KKboom airbrush & compressor, all new to me but hey..... 'Go big or go home!' as they say. Just a quick question regarding the Primer used for the figures for the Millennium Falcon Cockpit, what colour primer did you use? I noticed they were beige in colour at the end of your video ep: 5.4. Thanks in advance, keep up the amazing work. Paul 😎

Hi Paul! Welcome back to the hobby! Honestly I cannot remember what I primed them with as I did not film that, but I suspect it would be the same primer that I used for the hull simply to save time.

Foxx, This offering of "how to" for decals (dec-cals be dam---oops [blush inserted here]) Seriously, as much as I have enjoyed your videos over the years, with the light hearted humor and verbal hijinks et.al. I must say this is one of the finer "how to" videos on this subject I have seen. Yes I know/knew most everything you showed; but rarely did I know the "why" I did this or that. In several of the cases it was a matter of "that's what is done, son" so I did it. For any of those starting out on the model making journey or re-starting after a long absence your explanations should be revisited as often as needed to achieve top drawer results. Well done and Thank you.👏 [ed. note I shall return to my irreverent self in the next missive, so for the nonce . tootles]😉

Ah yes, spilling water over the decal sheet. Bonus points if it's an extra fancy one that you specifically ordered from Samuel Decal for the kit you're building. Or so I'm told. *cries*

Hey Foxx, back in the good old days of the Revell Colonial Viper kit :) you used to paint the model with Micro Sol, put a splash of Micro Set in the Decal water, then brush on the Micro Sol once it was in place...... why the change of method?

I change things up all the time as I find better ways to use stuff. I was still learning SOL and SET back in those days and that was one way I had seen it done, but later I realised that was just wasteful and making things more complicated than they needed to be. Also I later found that SET and SOL can eat into paint or gloss coats if you get a bit over-eager with them, so I prefer this less-haphazard method now.
