Me n my wife have been living in Germany for a total of 27 years and every time i miss my country, Indonesia, i click on RU-vid and voila it's there. Thanks for the nice videos. We will fly to Indonesia first week of August n be there for 6 weeks. And the wonderful thing is that my grandson, with his mom n dad, will be traveling together for some parts of it. Actually, several years ago, Indonesian trains were in very bad condition and chaotic, similar to in India, everyone was selling in the train carriages, lots of ticket brokers, dirty and disorganized, after KAI was chaired by the right person (Ignasius Jonan), Indonesian trains improved drastically. , trains are almost always on time, clean and orderly.
So glad to hear about these improvements. The trains are easily as good as the best trains in Europe. The Java train route will soon be very popular with tourists. I expect it will become very famous. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🙏☺️

The new generation luxury class more comfort and less shaking because upgrading with air suspension boogie, automatic door, information display, with more uxurious toilet. Btw the carriage made in by local company name PT INKA. Fyi, if you wanna take the bullet train from central bandung station there are free feeder train to Padalarang bullet train station, just 30 min, and in Jakarta you can take the LRT train to the down town. The LRT station just walking to the next door.
Next time we will take the high speed train. It’s a tough decision because the inter-city trains are a beautiful trip that I think many visitors will appreciate. We hope we can try one of the new generation trains in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏☺️

This video is good for those who are living away from their home country because you were almost filming the entire trip. I had to ride the scooter around my home city when I returned in May, to record each corners where I used to know (even though all look normal to the others but special to me), to see them when I miss them. It took me a lot of time. Good work!
Thanks. We got lucky with a lot of the footage. Sometimes it is too sunny and there is a lot of glare. It will also remind us about our trip. A lot of people seem to enjoy these train videos so we thought we would create another one. We will see if train videos are as popular in Vietnam. 😂😂.
@@388_days One of the reasons of keeping me to stay inside when I was in Asia was the weather. It was very hot and humid in my city, which made me tired. Hopefully the weather in Jakarta will cooperate with you.
Actually lately the weather in Indonesia is cold in some areas, especially in Java island, for Indonesians this is a good thing because it's not so hot during the day, this is due to the effect of the current winter in Australia and the wind leads to Indonesia.

@@388_days there is a storage space in the gate and the stewardess as PIC on it. When you come in she ready to help you to put your Luggage and when you out she will remind you to pick up yours. 👌
@@388_daysthey have luggage storage at back side. No problem with big suitcase. The best time take in the early morning, when sunrise getting up, it's amazing view, if your're lucky there are also with morning haze, and the train will be like flying in the cloud. Absolutely was stunning.

It was quite interesting for us as Americans as we do not learn very much about Southeast Asian countries in school. With all the islands, there must be some very unique foods and languages. I could see it being difficult to bring together so many different cultures and ethnicities. We have found the people in Indonesia to be very friendly and welcoming. Actually If you want to take high speed train, you can get free feeder train from Bandung Station to Padalarang High Speed Train Station. It's free, included in the High Speed Train Ticket.

That is so flattering and nice of you to write. We have been very fortunate in our lives that we were born in a wealthy country and educated fairly well. Now we like to explore the world on a small budget which is why we like to take the train when we travel.
I (Chris) visited the toilet and it was not bad. We don’t normally review bathrooms on trains because it is difficult to have a nice bathroom on a train. Of the trains we have travelled on in Southeast, KAI has some of the nicer bathrooms. Terima kasih 🙏☺️
karna kereta konvensional pakai standar gauges lebarnya cuman 1.067 mm itu wajar klo ada guncangan dan lagi kereta konvensional ini perjalanannya berbelok-belok dan tidak lurus seperti kereta cepat,sedangkan di kereta cepat mengunakan lebar rel 1.435 mm yang cocok buat kereta cepat .

For the destination Bandung, Jakarta or Jakarta, Bandung, currently people prefer fast trains, whoooss... it only takes 45 minutes to reach the destination, sir.
It was quite comfortable. Probably the most comfortable train we have travelled on. I think being in the last car it was bumpier. But most people will probably take the high speed train for this journey.
Well, Bandung Jakarta is the busiest short-middle route. If you buy for the weekend, it's easy for the ticket to be sold out, for weekdays usually in one day before departure is sold old
Normally we try to buy weeks in advance (as early as possible). We were afraid it sold out which is why we bought the luxury class tickets. I guess they just hadn’t released the executive class tickets I just needed to be more patient.
We read it will go all the way to Surabaya. We love the Indonesia is investing in rail transport. It is our favorite way to travel, and it’s especially nice on the beautiful island of Java. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏😂
We definitely plan to try it next time. We chose the slower train because we wanted to enjoy the beautiful scenery and mountains which is more difficult to do on a high speed train. Whoosh will be really great once it gets to Yogyakarta and Surabaya.
We haven’t tried economy yet. We accidentally sat in Premium class on our way to Yogyakarta, but we quickly realized our mistake and moved to executive. We did see some RU-vid videos of economy. It looks pretty nice. 👍
Bandung - Jakarta itu keretanya bagus2 semua, yg kurang bagus itu trak relnya, ibarat jalan trak rel disekitar jabar seperti jalan rusak dan bergelombang.

We didn’t know enough about the cities we stopped in. We had about 60 days to travel through Bali and Jakarta so we stopped in a few cities for a longer time. Next time we visit we will stay longer in Jakarta and Bandung. And we will try compromise Bandung correctly 🤦♂️ Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏☺️
We will try the high speed train at another date. We really enjoy slower train travel, and this was a perfect opportunity to really enjoy the scenery, that is, if I wasn't busy eating all the tasty food they gave us.
We used tiket.com to book our tickets. We read the KAI app and website does not accept foreign credit cards so we didn’t try it for that reason. We have a link to tiket.com in the description.

They are 💵💵💵 I was concerned the executive class tickets were sold out, but apparently they just hadn’t been released for sale at the point I bought the Luxury class tickets.
