😋 - we didn’t have Martabak because we hear you need to share it with your friends and that the size is huge. Next time we will stay longer and try some of these other foods.
Jakarta has lots of big malls and the biggest one is Grand Indonesia, try coming here, also in the SCBD area try coming to Pacific Place and ASHTA8 roof top, also to SPARK roof top, to Bunderan HI (best at night), to Kota Tua, PIK2, Senayan City, Central Park mall,.. for transportation you can use MRT, LRT, TransJkt and Gojek,.. happy holiday
Thank you for all the great suggestions. We visited the Grand Indonesia, but we didn’t record any video. We actually ate dinner there and Stephanie got a haircut 💇♀️. It’s a great mall. We really enjoy walking around malls and seeing all the locals enjoying themselves. Next time we will visit more places in Jakarta and we will plan to stay for a longer time. Terima Kasih 🙏☺️
Just for your information, the National Museum is currently closed to the public due to renovation work and construction of a new building. My advice if you want to go to the airport from the city center VV, is better and cheaper to use the airport train. Avoiding the worst Jakarta traffic jam.
We travelled to the airport on a holiday so we avoided the traffic - very lucky for us. We would like to come back and see more of Jakarta, including the National Museum. ☺️🙏
Visit Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Beautiful Indonesia in miniature park) where you can see the “whole” Indonesia in (definitely not mini but HUGE) a park. May need at least 5 - 6 hours though. Hope you can check it out! Welcome to my hometown of Jakarta🙏🏽😍😃 hope you are enjoying your visit!

Thank you so much for very kind feedback. We really enjoyed our time in Indonesia. Since you are new to our channel, Jakarta is the last city in Indonesia that we are visiting. We flew to Bali from Kuala Lumpur, stayed in Bali for a few weeks, then we cross the Bali Strait to Banyuwangi. We then took the train across Java stopping in Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Bandung, and Jakarta. We stayed for about 50 days in Indonesia and we are already talking about our next visit. oh. if you want to learn about Indonesian culture, you can go to TMII (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah). It's the shortcut to learning about Indonesian culture in one big complex. you can go from one complex province to another. because if you visit all Indonesian area, gonna more than 1 year :D

We almost visited the library, but we were pretty tired from the heat and walking around. 😂😂 Maybe next time. I saw some RU-vid videos of the library and it looks very nice inside. 🙏☺️
It was very different, but maybe a little less noticeable since we travelled East to West. Jakarta was the most modern of the cities we visited, but we should have stayed for a week rather than just a couple of days. There was more to see than we had expected.
Thanks for tuning in to our channel. We would have liked to stay longer, but we had to get a 60-day visa to visit as long as we did. We definitely want to return, but we probably cannot stay for longer than the 60-day visa limit. Next time we will stay longer in Jakarta, but we will also need to visit some of the other islands. I have not travelled to Indonesia before. The city looks very clean. The traditional dish (Batawi?!?!, not sure) is interesting. The guy put the pan upside down but the food still stuck with the pan. I believe I would find it delicious too, because I am a fan of coconut, especially coconut in the foods.
The kerak telor did not sound very appetizing at first, but it was quite delicious. The way he cooked the food was almost like a show. It was very interesting. We have learned that we should just try food that is recommended to us, and we usually really enjoy it. I was surprised how easily he was able to remove it from the pan once he finished cooking it. I (Chris) create the subtitles (Closed Captions) and then have Google translate them to Indonesian and several other languages. This part of the video as a little challenging, but I think most of the translation is accurate. Monas sudah bisa dibilang ketinggalan jaman. Tidak ada upaya untuk meningkatkan hiburan atau semacamnya. Pemda pasif dan minim ide. Menunggu 1 jam lebih hanya untuk naik ke atas yg hanya pemandangan saja, rasanya tidak terlalu special, tidak sebanding dengan lamanya menunggu. Maaf jika ada yang tidak sependapat.
For us the museum was very interesting. It’s not the most modern, but it really helped us with the history of Java and Indonesia. I suppose the National Museum would be a better place to visit for history, but it was closed so we made due with what was available. Thanks for watching our video. 🙏☺️

Lihat Namsan tower, sepanjang jalan menuju kesana, pohon2 berbunganya cantik dan aesthetic. Ini Monas gersang dan monoton sekali. Museum juga perlu di beri sesuatu yg lebih ngikutin perkembangan jaman.
😂😂 - I think they're friends told them we were nice and that they should ask us for an interview. The students were clearly uncomfortable asking people for an interview.
