I could not control myself when i watched this sitting along the track. I just started my car, and drove off the parking spot, straight on to the track. Afterwards my car was totally wrecked, and i took the bus home
Jason Hook This is amateur-hour bullshit mate, these guys are only rookies and have-a-go heroes. If you want to see REAL banger racing, here you go... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fe_DRcUR1CM.html
Jason Hook это когда ты хочешь сказать человеку то же что ему хочется сказать тебе в ответ и не можешь понять что он хочет сказать и сказать ему что он тебе нравится

I'm Nicolas and I'm looking for a job That would be the venerable Rover K series engine, a 1400 probably, came out in 1989 and was way ahead of its time with double overhead cams, 16 valves, all aluminium construction with liners and also "stretch" bolts that ran right the way down through the the engine and sandwiched the whole lot together, it managed 105bhp from 1398cc, which is more than. even any brand new 1400 I know of! (Even the Focus on track had an engine designed in '97, only got 99bhp from 1598cc and wasn't as advanced as the K Series...). It got a bad name for head gaskets, but if looked after properly and with a little knowledge of what can cause problems, they were a bloody fantastic engine you could tune beyond belief. The first Lotus Elise's and Exige's used K Series', as did Caterhams too. Got a video on my channel actually of my friends old shape Rover 214 with the same engine in it actually. Used to call her "Rapid Ronda" as she was a Rover using a Honda body and suspension, so, Ronda! I have, no lie, seen that 1.4 pull a GPS checked 126mph on the flat, with just a larger throttle body, cold air intake and cat back exhaust, we were 17 at the time and it was WAY, WAY faster than anything our mates had, which annoyed them as it was an "Old Man's Rover" with wood and half leather! I have the KV6, which is a 2.5 V6 using much the same ideas and designs but with some differences, the V6 ended up in modified 2.7 form in the Hyundai Santa Fe, Coupe and the Kia Magentis used an unmodified 2.5. :) Bang for buck wise, a Rover 214 is damn good fun and a bit of a sleeper for what it is, 60 in around 8 seconds is totally plausible and it can do it in 2nd!
Would i be right in saying pre-BMW-takeover engines didn't have the head gasket issues, as it was under BMW directions the head gasket be made of plastic?
I had an m reg 214 sei many moons ago when I was about 22 years old, it was certainly a rapid thing, and despite that young me thrashing it mercilessly daily for 2 years the engine never went wrong once, it was actually the gearboxes that failed me, but they were peugeot gearboxes known for being made of chocolate, I ended up replacing the gearbox twice.
This just looks disorganised and unsafe. Defiantly not proper banger racing. Just lasy, half arsed attempts at building a banger. Even back to basics banger have rules
