Ive watched a few of his videos, and i was always taught to never move a clock with pendulum and or weights attached, but hes done it almost every time.
For proper transportation purposes, these timepieces were design to have the weight wound upward to sit behind wooden guides in the upper throat and the pendulum secured by a square brass hardware piece into the lower beat plate that would not only secure the pendulum and bob in place but also keep the 7 pound lead weight from moving front to back and potentially running into and breaking the front throat tablet.
