What Is It?
PedalMonster is the first OBD-II connected throttle sensitivity controller for gas and diesel vehicles. Controlled via Banks iDash or mobile app, PedalMonster is the only module of its kind to offer safety features like ActiveSafety®, Reverse Safety and Adjustable Low-Speed Trim.
City, Sport, and Track modes, each with 10 sensitivity levels
OBD-II connected
ActiveSafety failsafe circuitry with Health Monitoring
Reverse safety returns pedal to stock in reverse gear
Adjustable Low-Speed Trim controls how fast sensitivity is added at slow speeds
Powered by +12V via OBD, not low-overhead pedal circuit
Controlled by iDash DataMonster, iDash SuperGauge, and mobile app
PedalMonster stacks with any flash or inline tuner!!! Not just Banks
View PedalMonster’s activity in real-time via iDash and mobile app
Simple plug-and-play installation
Warranty friendly. Does not leave footprint after removal.
Emissions Compliant: In Process
US Patent #10,933,885
Customize
City, Sport and Track, each with 10 levels of refinement, allows you to tune out "dead spots" found in many pedals, making your throttle more responsive. PedalMonster can be adjusted on-the-fly through the iDash and phone application. Simply take your foot off the pedal momentarily to adjust the mode or sensitivity level.
TRACK
10 levels of increased sensitivity in the lower pedal travel range with boosted resolution in the upper travel range for finer control on the track. More power is delivered sooner making it ideal for performance and track use.
SPORT
10 levels of improved sensitivity throughout for a more responsive driving experience. Gives your vehicle a sportier feel with a focus on the mid- to high-level throttle. More power is delivered in the mid-range ideal for when you want more get-up-and-go.
CITY
10 levels mapped for a linear characteristic throughout the pedal travel. Gives a more responsive feeling while retaining a smooth driving experience. Power is focused more on the higher range to prevent unintentional quick acceleration around town, ideal for city driving.
Control
PedalMonster is controlled via iDash DataMonster, iDash SuperGauge, and PedalMonster mobile app (iOS and Android). View PedalMonster's activity in real-time. When used with iDash, monitor vital engine and transmission OBD-II data, control PedalMonster, Derringer tuner, and other Banks modules.
OBD-II Connected
PedalMonster is the ONLY throttle sensitivity controller connected via the vehicle’s OBD-II port (onboard diagnostics) reading vehicle data, allowing for unmatched control and safety. OBD-II data makes the following possible:
Safety
PedalMonster is the ONLY throttle sensitivity device with ActiveSafety®. In the event of an internal or external circuit failure the system’s seamlessly returns the pedal to stock. When all other devices fail, they leave the vehicle inoperable leading to dangerous situations. Imagine losing power while passing on a two-lane road while heading into oncoming traffic.
All modern throttle pedals communicate with the vehicle’s ECM via two distinct signals (APP1 and APP2). This is done for safety. PedalMonster’s Health Monitoring constantly checks for signal linearity between these two signals and monitors input and output values. We monitor the health of PedalMonster 100 times a second. If the health monitoring system reveals any malfunction, the PedalMonster instantly bypasses itself, sets a device diagnostic code, and returns you to stock power.
PedalMonster’s internal circuitry is powered by the reliable +12 volt OBD-II connector. Competitive devices draw current directly from the low-overhead +5 volt throttle pedal circuit, often rendering the vehicle inoperable leading to dangerous situations.
Reverse Safety
PedalMonster returns the vehicle to stock throttle response when in reverse gear (availability varies by vehicle).
Adjustable Low-Speed Trim
This feature allows you to adjust the rate at which PedalMonster adds sensitivity at speeds under 10 mph. This helps to avoid spinning the tires in low speed turns or on slippery surfaces. While level 0 turns off low-speed trim, levels 2-5 increasingly minimize throttle boosting from 0-5 mph. By 10 mph PedalMonster will boost the throttle normally. This adjustment helps with low-speed drivability during parking lot maneuvering, icy roads, etc, while allowing you to use more an aggressive mode and level at the same time. For example, if you like Track mode but don’t want to slip while driving slowly on icy roads, simply set the low-speed trim to Level 5.
You can also select transmission type: Automatic (default) or Manual. The Manual transmission setting does less boosting in the 0-20% pedal travel range (when compared to Automatic). This improves drivability during clutch engagement.

Awesome video Matt I just purchased a banks pedal monster myself and I'm hoping I get just as good results for my 2015 Jeep wrangler your video really helped me decide between a bunch of different throttle body controllers.

Great video Matt. Do you notice a reduction in mpgs' while just cruising in city mode? With gas as expensive as it is...It's something to consider. Thanks.

This is an excellent video and i bought one because of it. But i wish you would have actually showed the install. I cant find any decent install vids for a jeep.
@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING
Thanks for watching, I would have made more of an install type video but I'm so big I could barely get my head and shoulders under the dash to see what I'm doing! 😆 I gotta say jeep doesn't leave much room for big guys to work on these. Anyways please like and sub I have more jeep videos coming soon.

Why does it seem no one wants to comment about the gas mileage change if any. I have seen many questions about it and crickets.
@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING
@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING 2 года назад
Gas mileage all depends on how you drive it and the terrain. My girlfriend can get 21 mpgs all day long because of her driving style but I usually get 17-19 mpgs again it all depends on your style of driving. The pedal monster doesn't make you use more gas it just makes the pedal more sensitive. It's a great product and it makes the Jeep feel like it has more power because of the driving curves it offers.

I'm using the Pedal Monster on my 2019 Silverado 5.3 I was having lag going uphill and this has solved that issue. I'm averaging 18mpg on an 8 cyl. But depending how I drive it can be more or less
@travisevans531
@travisevans531 2 года назад
Trying to figure out if it actually removes the throttle lag in the 3.6L v6. Would be good to see if you have the Jeep in neutral and you tap the gas peddle - before and after. I notice a 1/2 sec delay that I really don't like in my manual transmission Jeep JLUR 2021, makes it hard to drive at times. Thanks for the video! - LOL just read further down the comments. Looks like yes

Were you able to get the active safety/reverse feature to work?
@TwistedD

I'm curious on how the pedal monster feels on the 6 seed manual. Mainly getting it rolling in 1st. Wonder if it could be too sensitive. ? Eat up the clutch faster. Or can you adjust like the first 10% of the throttle separately or something like that

Does it just change the amount of pedal input? Wot is still the same as stock?
@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING
@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING 2 года назад
It changes the amount of input plus what rate in which it kicks in. It has city, sport and track modes and they all kick in differently. It's a killer mod that really works well and you'll never want to go back to stock after driving with it.
