@@NikkoBellic-sf6boif millions of Americans stopped paying taxes there's nothing the government can do about it It would cost them way too much money and man power to lock up millions of people There is strength in numbers
DIDNT GOV HOLCHUL TELL ALL THESE FOREIGNS AND THEIR KIDS TO COME HERE?? SHE ONLY GOT 1 MORE YEAR LEFT AND THEN SHES OUT ANYWAY. WORRY ABOUT REAL THINGS GOING ON OUT HERE
That lady's reasoning is just plain stupid. They not just talk about banning everyday citizens. If you're convicted of assaulting other people on mass transit you forfeit your rights to use it plain an simple.
If they are convicted, they will be in jail. How can they use public transit if they are in jail. When you serve your time that is that. Why punish them further?
@@damongraham1398they don’t get put in jail for crimes in NYC! All charges are pled down and nearly all violent serial criminals are put on probation at best to continue their crime sprees with impunity.
@@tpolerex7282 first don't say ALL. The law was written to help people without prior convictions. If a person gave a false name and no record of them could be found people fell through the cracks. NYC does not want to pay to hold people the Federal government will take a long time to deport. During the Obama and Trump times in office a lot of people got deported that were not committing "other" crimes. No, it is not a great system. I rather 10 criminals go free then one innocent spends a second in jail. Yes, an illegal immigrant did break the law. I rather have that illegal who got to work, raised a family, paid local taxes than a typical Spring Breaker who acted a fool and broke stuff. Both of them are adding to the local economy. In the long run I do not know which one would benefit the local economy more.
We shouldn't be subjected to crazy people who are clearly hurting anyone PERHAPS! Drastic measures needed to happen immediately. Bring the army and every priest in the city to clean the whole broken system. 🙏🏾❤️
@@vladimirputindreadlockrast812 Sure agreed but how many people are going to lose their lives until they stop letting repeat offenders loose on the street? I take the train everyday and I see the walking dead ready to attack at any moment. I'm just sick of feeling the threat.
If they would put them in jail you wouldn't have this problem of repeat offenders. The government is in our business enough so instead of making another law. Use the ones that exist by putting them in jail
If stores can trespass people for committing crimes, why not violent passengers? Of course, if they actually prosecuted them and kept them in jail or prison they wouldn't have to try to keep them off public transport.
You mean, God forbid, being weak on crime and defunding the police didn't work out like she expected? As for the bleeding heart woman who thinks certain people shouldn't be banned, we're talking public safety, not the inconvenience of the people who abuse the privilege. As for the formerly incarcerated gentleman, and I emphasize gentleman...as if we can't tell the difference...congratulations and thank you.
The bio metric tracking system that Trump's been talking about and the digital Id they wanted during COVID. Now Chicago wants to do the same thing. It's ILLEGAL and unconstitutional. See where this is going???
Perhaps they should think of those rhings before committing a crime.... Its called consequences, responsibility and accountability. Perhaps they should think what they will lose by committing crimes on the subways. Just perhaps.....
"People have to get to services" but people don't have a right to use public transportation that minimizes their encounters with violent people? Lieberman has been frequently popping up for interviews on this issue and she's obsessed with the problem she believes will come of cracking down on criminals interacting with regular citizens, but offers no meaningful solutions of her own. She offers outrage, that's it. Walking exists, rideshares exist, and private charities can shell out money for violent banned riders if they so wish to do so. If we want to avoid more situations like Jordan Neely's (a man frequently arrested) and other violent situations, the option must be put into law. Whether the coddling judges actually follow through with using it is another story though.
This needs to be done as a deterrent. Would you feel safe riding the system knowing that person who committed a crime violent in nature who may be a repeat offender rides the system again and looks at you as a target? I’m for banning convicted individuals from the system to better protect riders as serve as a serious crime prevention.
Just how are they going to determine who is a criminal and shouldn't be allowed on the subways when they currently aren't even identifying any of them?
Be tough on crime in the first place and you wouldn't have to resort to stupidity. Everything she does is for show, she never actually does anything to keep working people safe.
i like the new changes! I'm a martial artist, and a US Army vet. and immediately i notice your average subway rider is no longer paranoid that im going to jump them. Which is something i would never do. Even I feel safer using the MTA, along with most new yorkers whom i observe in the tunnels and on the train. Osu!
If they can ban people from airplanes, why not the subway? Uber, Lyft also have the right to ban people! You can be banned from driving a car! People can be banned from almost every public service in America! Why not subways?!!
Hey New York, Yall already have your State Parole Board & your Parole Officers can put on your papers that you are not allowed to (So 📞) ride public transportation or better known as non association on or all transportations for behavior concerns? Japans train system would be the better direction for public travel for NY, Japans trains, no making eye contact, no talking on the phone, mind own business & if the train is full & a Senior walks in you must get up & give up your seat. All posted. You deserve a safe ride, Period! …Great day to watch the best movie THE WARRIORS
In a city as big as NYC? Good luck trying to enforce it! I knew a guy who was a transit security officer in my city and he said that banning people from public transit is a waste of time because even if they are banned, they can still find ways around it! It’s not the airport, you don’t need to identify yourself for a transit pass!
It's nuts to ban people from public transportation, she said. How can you get to work volunteer at the hospital after you assault innocent riders who are trying to go to work?
Do the crime on the transit system then do the time off the system. All the places (s)he needs to go that person should have thought about it before committing a criminal act. Consequences should be ingrained in anyone’s minds when using public transportation. Airports and airlines do it why not the transit system
Every subway entrance should be gated and ID inspected on attempt to entry. NYC has always been bad which is why I left the area completely. Much of the "public" are also criminals.
