NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. Kai Proctor confronts his family after they excommunicate his younger sister from their Amish community.
@@jackcravford8744 Agree, such great delivery, I actually felt that. Actor who plays Kai father is also great, I love how he can't really look Kai in the eye when he says "his son is dead" because he feels shame. Both are great actors.
@@njmfff yeah, banshee had phenomenal acting with cool drama dialogues and shit. mainly Starr was really fucked up every time lol. it was just so emotional
The actors / actresses in this show are well chosen and they put in their 100% into the show. Each episode is as good as a movie on its own. Simply captivating!
@@ragrag5470 Of course he will say that but in a prequel, the actor it's old, that will not work, and a spinoff, in my canon Kai Proctor died in that shootout
@@SQOUREE Actually, no. You SAW him shoot at the six sicarios with a Tommygun. We never saw him die, or be hit by a bullet for that matter. And, as I stated before in a similar discussion, six assailants is NOTHING to Kai Proctor. He has seen and been through worse.
@@ragrag5470 they probably sent more after him and he can't escape them forever neither would he it's not in his character to run from a fight but a prequel would be nice to see him rise to power and his childhood l would also like a nola longshadow prequel she is an interesting character with a mysterious past
The great thing about Kai Proctor was he was not all bad. This one of the scenes that show his more human side. Much the same as Lucas Hood. Two criminal but still criminals with rules about what's right and not.
Once ure a criminal in the eyes of men whether right or wrong , princip or no princip it doesnt ure still criminal in the end..but the true judges is from the eyes of God..god creates heaven for sinners and hell for sinners too, but dont get me wrong , sinners who truely repent will deserve god kingdom..
2:33 - Great acting here. You can see the conflict on his face - the desire to connect with his son vs. the need to stand by his religious values and appear strong in front of his community.
I just started watching Banshee a couple weeks ago and out of all the shows/movies I've watched, I have to say that Kai Proctor is the greatest villain of all time.
If you enjoy(ed) Banshee, I'd recommend the series, THE BOYS and CITY ON A HILL. Plus the criminally under rated movie called THURSDAY by Skip Woods. *Plus don't forget to watch to the end of the credits of Banshee as there are little scenes/epilogues that a few viewers forget about.*
Just like the Devil himself… he was also cast out for his pride and demanding, feeling entitled to his fathers approval and love when in fact he has to be worthy of it
All things considered, 4 seasons is a pretty good run. Most shows struggle to even have a good ending, and while season 4 of Banshee had its flaws, its closing moments were perfect. I would have liked another season, but I’m happy with how the show ended overall.
+doxide Don't make drama dude. Asking you to clean the swinery and throw you out of the house like you had nothing to do with them are completely different things.
Seriously Kai has absolutely no right acting high and mighty save for his ridiculous amount of money. he is a murderer, an arsonist, a terrorist, a trafficker etc... He is a monster with no redeeming qualitie's.
I think if they ever do another series, it would be a cool idea to see where Proctor ends up.His operation is broken, Rebecca is dead, Clay is dead.If they went back and did a "5 year later" type scenario and Proctor had gone back to the Amish and asked for forgiveness and we see him happily just working the fields with his family....I think it would be a cool idea anyway :P
A man like that won't find contentment in the fields with his family. That scene would end with him leaving the house at night with a certain look in his eye.
The show writers were done with it. They did not have any more material and didn't want it to become like Walking Dead. I think about this show all the time but ultimately I respect the writers.
You know Banshee wasnt that much original considering their plots and storylines. For example Job was basically inspired by past characters like Lafayette from True Blood, plus you can see a lot traits of Gustavo Fring in guys like Burton, etc etc. You have no idea how many but still one of my favorites when it comes down to it. But to say it was special? Nah.
someone once told me wrath is a privilege and rage is a consolation. Kai's freaking out because he's powerless. He can do whatever he wants to the Amish community. He can exile or even kill them. He cannot actually control them. He knows they don't give a shit about physical extinction. Nothing can make them take him back.
Well I dunno what God the amish believe in, but the God I believe in doesnt need to keep people under-developed innovatively in order for us to know right from wrong.
@@PWNINSWAGMASTER I love the earth, so I grow my own food, hunt my own meat, my house has 8 inch thick freezer panel wall so I rarely have to use air conditioning, I plant hardwood trees on the weekend, especially black walnut because they are becoming extinct, more importantly im teaching my boy to love the earth as I do, the Amish have a similar concept, and you think that their god is worse then yours, you need to reevaluate your priorities, Revelation 11:18: And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. I don't think you have read the Bible very extensively
On the one hand, Proctor deserves every kind of rejection he gets from his family, due to what he has done and does, on the other hand....it is hard to not like him in these scenes.
Well he initially was shunned, because when he was 19 fought back against some townies picking on the Amish. His father demanded he repented, and he rightfully refused. That's when he was shunned and banished from the church. So the threw him out into the outside world, in which is only connection was Sugar, an ex boxer and small time criminal. Kai did make his own choices, but his father and the broader Amish of community of Banshee were definitely instrumental into what he would end up becoming.
The way his father avoids eye contact, the trembling lips when he tells Kai his son is dead...excellent acting. So much repressed hurt, pain, and love there. He still loves his son, but he's sticking by his decision because it's the right thing to do. I think anyone who's had to cut ties with a toxic friend or family member who is still loved can sympathize.
He was shunned for defending his family though. The violence he used to defend them was against their religion. It was bad but not toxic and the Amish have been known to disown family members without holding themselves accountable, like they did his niece. The abandonment is what pushes some people over the edge into a life of crime.
Man this was such a fucking great show. If it would have been on HBO it would have been huge. Kai was evil no doubt but I didn't see him as a complete scumbag. Ulrich thomsen play him so great that I felt sympathy for him at times
He sounds like a medical doctor. They hate it when someone gives God any credit for healing. "You're only here because I allow it. God won't be able to help you when I run ya'll off."
I would almost put Kai Proctor in the same category as Damon Salvatore. He tries to come across as this emotionally scarred man, when in reality most of his experience were his own action's. He's absolutely obsessed with power, hurting/owning everything or everyone, having sex with his niece for whatever reason, murder, torture etc...Absolutely nothing about him is redeemable, and I dont like it when people admire men like him even if they are fictional.
How far do nowadays Amish go with technology? Here we can see actual modern wheels/tires, from a car, attached, etc.... What about guns? How about, kinda everything that is worth mentioning, it's really interesting to me. I was an exchange student, US, AR, (but he was from PA) with an expelled/or escaped ex-Amish, actually. I didn't ask him too much, he went of, made his life somehow within construction, then Harley, ridding with Angels, old school tatts, Vietnam, got shot-but also killed a few, a war, etc.... -True Story. I changed the family after a few months...
Religious shunning is one of the most cruel forms of social punishment. Religious fanatics like the Amish and Jehovah Witnesses are masters at it. It makes me wonder how many are inside as non believers , unable to leave because they would loose everything.
