I really like this show, maybe I need some relief from our "real life" now and until Donny is put in jail along with his lying, cheating thugs, he feels so "at home with him".
"Im a cop , you're a criminal " its like he's talking to himself , almost as of Kai is meant to be a physical embodiment of Hoods past that he's still trying to defeat
Best part about this show is that Hood probably would of happily joined with Proctor, had Proctor not tried so hard to “buy” him and act so confident about it.
That's hard to debate. Despite the fact that Hood became a cop to protect his daughter in banshee, he was looking to become his own man with his own plans. If only Rabbit hadn't come chasing after him again after meeting up with Anna when he had finished his prison sentence.
I think hood was just bored and had nothing else to do. And when he found out that Anna had moved on, he just decided to take the opportunity that was given to him. He was still committing crimes after becoming the sheriff, but after awhile, he decided to change his life and become the “good guy.” If Proctor hadn’t been so confident that he could “buy” hood, he probably would of joined him. Hood had too big of a chip on his shoulder, which made his character great.
Ain't it the truth? Lucas & Kai are like 2 halves of the same coin. Hood is a criminal posing as a Sheriff while Proctor's an Amish Kingpin who isn't pretending to be something he's not. Polar opposites with striking similarities make for great Literature, TV & Cinema. Especially when they clash.
Hood was both an outlaw andna cop. Some of the best men law men in America especially in the wild west were ex outlaws. They upheld the law better than lawmen who was trained for the job.
@@H.K.5 While that's partially true, Hood was for all intents and purposes a cop and the acting sheriff of Banshee. When he assumed the actual Hood's identity, he assumed his position as well.
@@H.K.5 Ehh nah I wasn't a big fan of Chayton. He was just angry and evil over nothing. The military stuff after they killed Chayton was way cooler than anything involving Chayton
I used to follow the main character, Anthony Starr, when he first started out acting in a New Zealand series called outrageous fortune. He was an outstanding actor then and he's only gotten better with time
What's weird is that they plugged the cord on themselves, the director made a conscious decision after season 3 that season 4 would be its last. It wasn't cancelled.
The budget got slashed though. If they had the proper budget, they could have had more satisfying pace. A lot of loose ends were left up in the air, like the white-supremacist senator and the cartel... at the same time, Banshee wasn't about taking down _all_ the bad guys, just cleaning up one small town.
Guys it's over. I was sad about it too last year when I finished it. I don't think it will ever come back. We have to get over it. Now that Hood is now Homelander it is probably unlikely that he will go back to Banshee. The only thing we can do is tell our friends that have yet to see it
+113930892075234465372 Im not talking him out in a physical fight. I'm talking as taking down Proctors organisation while he was in the middle of and Ecstasy(Skulls) Manufacturing deal with the Columbian Cartel to which Ana/Carrie through a big spanner in the works with a bit of help from Brock of course. It got so bad that Kai had a hit team sent to his house. Carries husband, Gordon the DA tried many times and failed to take him down. Hood came close until Rebecca killed Alex Longshadow. Kai came back swinging.
The show Preacher wants to be, when it grows up. Especially as this drew so heavily on the comic. Kai, the Meat Man, the fighting holy man, even named his dog “Preacher”.
As a kiwi, i will always know him as the Van and Jethro. His ability to play both roles together is why I was so excited to see him deal with the duality of Homelander when the show first came to my attention
What a hypocrite Lucas was, LOL, Ivana, I mean Ana too. They had criminal blood literally flowing through their veins, they were just pretending. I liked all of them though. Proctor for ex. is one of these guys, if he says he will give you 5000$ for butchering, he will. but don't steal a single loin. :D
Hood was still recovering from the fight and was nowhere near 100%. I doubt he would’ve been anywhere near as confident if Hood came out of that fight unscathed.
vey na boa mais hood é o personagem principal que eu mais detesto o cara fica tirando o proctor mais que moral ele tem para isso é um cara que brinca de policial mais na verdade é um bandido
His best friend Job was a master computer hacker, and even created most of the early computer databases according to the show. So it wasn’t a large stretch for him to to replace the main character with the real hood’s credentials
@@patmcnamara9081 you realize that in the gap he isn't there in season 4, how ineffective they are at getting things done (like finding him). Also even though they have Job it does take him a couple of DAYS to get the identities done. It's not clicky, there you go.
@@H.K.5 Yeah right, BUT, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't 'sheriff' Hood and his band rob a casino and didn't they shoot, indiscriminately at the chasing casino security guys? Presumably innocents with wives, kids and mortgages. Yeah, right, better than Proctor in every possible way.
I did not get all the way through the show, but I found him rather dislikeable and hard to root for, at the start, as well; moreso than other shows where you've got a villain for the protagonist.
I wouldn't say boring but you noticed a dropoff after season 2. Still a good show until the end, but seasons 1 and 2 were masterful. S3 still had Chayton who was a very good Villain, but I think they could've done more with him, the whole rob the military base was a decent plot, I just wished they would've told us more about "Hood's" time in black ops, not just how he got recruited. S4 was a bit weird though, feels like it should've been a 20 episode season because it did felt a bit rushed. NeoNazis and Satanists got boring quick. Calvin was a little bitch that didn't feel worth being a season-long villain. The FBI agent was interesting but I wished we knew more about her.
