I love that this was written by the dude playing Burton too! Seems he really understands what makes his character so captivating to an audience

he is such a physical actor, conveying a plethora of emotions without saying much. just a testament to his shakespearean heritage

Banshee is one of the most depth filled shows of all time, they even made a series of shorts showing the history of banshee, leading up to the very first episode.

All I could think of was, "Don't take off your glasses, don't take off your glasses.".

The respect between Burton and Sugar in this scene is unfathomable 💯

Burton seems like the kind of guy that doesn't open up very much. For him to have a drink and talk about something as personal as saving his father from drowning is BIG! Bartenders sometimes make good psychiatrists.

The actor who plays Clay, I wish we could see him more often. He is awesome.

He showed Burton respect and kindness, something that was lacking, something that he needed more of.

I like how Burton was taken aback by Sugar. Burton is a monster, and everyone knows this so they treat him like one. Sugar knows he is a monster, but treats him like any other customer. It throws Burton, took down a wall around his persona.

Imagine being the only other guy in the bar when this scene happens.

Imagine being alone anywhere, and Burton walks in and you have a fairly good idea of what he is capable of. Yikes!

for a minute I thought this was Terminator scene because of how uncanny and robotic Burton is, much like how cyborgs act in Terminator and similar movies

That dude shows no emotions. CoLd and calculated. I thought that Native American chick had him, but she got to complacent. And bye bye. This character is dark and the actor plays him so well.

I always wished we got to see a fist fight between Mr. Burton and Job.

Banshee was my favorite show, it ended way too soon. Antony Starr is more Sheriff Hood than he is Homelander (in my opinion). And yeah, Burton was an amazingly badass villain. I'd be pissed too if I didn't have any junk (oops spoiler alert).
