Bar End Mirrors and Interesting Places 

7:48 had same problem with my kawasaki z400 so I cut the bar in half and added a 3inch s.s. tube. Works alot better. Then added a red plastic tube over that. Looks better. Wish I could send a picture!

The new ‘22 color schemes look so much better than the ‘20 and ‘21 models. It makes those bikes stand out more.

The stock mirrors alone on the bike do look different. But when you look at the bike with someone on it, it actually comes around looking good. (if that makes sense)

Gr8 vid, mark. I actually kept my oem bug antenna mirrors; after repositioning them properly, they are very practical and definitely see more. Most bar end mirrors I saw are smaller, made bar width wider, and required removal bar end weights. I luv the bar end weights more than the need for fashionable mirrors (reduce vibration). Why couldn’t you fix the mirrors on the existing bar ends like you did with the ones you bought, they seem to be the ideal shape? Thanks for the video, really got me thinking whether to fit bar end mirrors on my 2017 Z900 which I love, even toured down to the south of France £ Lake Como on it 👍

on my z900 i use r&g bar end weights made for the z900 along with puig bar end mirrors which clamp straight to the r&g weights.a blittle more expensive but look spot on,i prefer the mirrors above the bars rather than under and certainly better than the standard fitment which i end up moving my body to see any thing.

It will be interesting to see the RS review if you can ever find one. My understanding is that the RS has lower compression pistons and different sprockets (15/42 vs the non-RS model's 15/44). Had the same problem fitting bar-end mirrors. My solution was to install a Renthal Ultra Low handlebar (which I really like). I think that top mounted bar-end mirrors are about as good as it gets on the Z. My only complaint is that the mirrors I have sit a bit close to my hand. I might try some with a longer stem.

There’s no legal requirement to have mirrors on a bike in the uk.

indeed with those stock mirrors on, you merely need to add a bow tie to the front and the bike will look totally ridiculous, even without adding a bunny tail at the rear of the bike. P.S.: I also use bar end mirrors with my Z900 and am pretty happy with them, although sometimes the mirror positioning gets changed accidentally, when moving the bike in my garage, but that is my only negative experience
