@@Pinkboysss Much smarter and eloquent men and women have answered your question. But, en brief, consider the fact that for decades Ken and Barbie were presented as an equal counter and complimentary part of each other: Dr. Barbie/Dr.Ken, Astronaut Barbie/Astronaut Ken, etc. It was a subtle message to communicate to women that they can achieve anything. Likewise, they were supportive “parents” to Barbie’s little sisters who never undermined each other. In the real world, the Mattel board of directors is currently being held by five women. Women are currently outperforming men economically, academically, and financially. Yet, the Barbie movie wants to propagate a disproven narrative that demonizes men as an oppressive culture and social class that undermines women. Instead of highlighting the fact that we all struggle in different but paralleling ways. And, that we need each other to create a functional, healthy society.
