Happy New Year! These latest offerings from Ariana & Evans were recently released and I am here to give you my thoughts on them. If you ever wondered which order you should apply your post-shave products, Check out my tip at the very bottom.
The Soap: Barbiere Sofisticato By Ariana & Evans. This is A&E's take on an old-world barbershop. While it may envoke familiarities of other barbershop scents, it's delightfully different. This is a very masculine barbershop scent. Off the puck, you get the Violet, woods. spices, and leather. As you shave and wear the scent throughout the day, the notes of Pink Pepper, bergamot, lavender, tonka bean, and vanilla come together to make this sophisticated come together. This soap shines in post shave and slickness. Unique scents + Superior Slickness and Post Shave gives Ariana & Evans a place in the top of the shave soap category.
The Brush: WCS Two-tone Synthetic Shaving brush. This feels like a custom brush. I prefer taller and slimmer brushes, so this is exactly something like I would order. This is like a next level Boss/Game Changer knot. Soft tips, good loft, easy splash, and some backbone make it the ideal knot for a daily driver
The Razor: Paradigm SE Ti. This brings the closeness of a straight razor and ease of use of a safety razor all in one. There is a Feather Super pro in this razor and it was a champ.
Aftershave: Barbiere Sofisticato By Ariana & Evans Aftershave Splash. This Aftershave is more of a skinfood. The main ingredient is Aloe Vera Juice. I have a deeper appreciation for Skin food splashes more and more as I shave every day.
Post Shave: Bare Naked Balm by Wholly Kaw. This is the King of Balms in my opinion. I added it to my shaving regiment about two months ago because of the colder weather in CA. I was always afraid of the balms because I did not want it to take away from the scent of the soap and aftershave. I am happy to say that it doesn't. The benefits of the donkey milk in the WK soap can now be added in all my shaves to this balm. One pump is enough to cover the surface area you just shaved. It's not heavy and your skin is going to love it.
This scent is a welcomed addition to the barbershop scent category.
Tip of the Day: When you go to apply your post-shave product, apply from thin to thick to get the most out of every ingredient in your post-shave products.
