I gotta tell ya... I love the aerial shot from the rafters! It has got to be such a blessing to have all that room for a workspace now, in comparison to the cramped garage you were in when I started watching the channel way back when. Very cool idea for the offset light. Most people take the easy path and just center it up. Not you! Thinking outside the box! Keep up the fantastic work, and it's so good to see ya up and getting back in the swing of things. Give Miss Penny a big hug from both me and Pam!
Thank you so much Brother, it is really cool to have a lot of space, im sure ill grow into it and fill it with 'stuff' over the years, but it's sure better than a cramped single garage, and before that even working out in the open. Glad you're enjoying the build, it has to be fun to be worth it right?.. so im enjoying the process and that's just as important. Take care and have a wonderful weekend both of you.. keep safe. D&Px
99% of us spend ages trying to lighten our bikes, Del whips out aa massive sheet of steel to whack on the front. Love it! Keep up the good work Del and to your health🥃
Thanks Nick.. i did consider the weight of the steel...but then remembered the 20+Kg of fairing i took off the bike to start with, plus another 7kg by loosing the huge twin exhaust system... so i have a bit in credit..lol
I have been following this wee channel for 3-4 years now, and I can affirm that it's not a great idea to "comment" on Dels work until the enlarged lady sings!!! Nice one Del. That plate ain't going nowhere!! As a survival bike, just think of it as a bullet proof shield!!!😂😂😂😎😎😎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Really enjoying the "word" at the opening! 😉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Man, that's going to give the late night moths something to think about : The Ballistic Boilerplate Busa 'No worries lads, just aim to one side of the big light, it always works for m . . . 'PANG! Have you ever ridden through a cloud of aphids of an evening & come out the other side looking like Astroturf? : ) xx
Oh yes indeed.. leaving the pub at 9pm in August, and arriving home looking like a Rentokill advert.. this plate will maybe even resist the May bugs... ill hear the soft "pang pang pang...then the DANG... That'll be the Cockchafer !
Cockchafer? Oh, you mean one of those 'Brembo' moments when you swap clusters with the instrument panel? (Ah, earwig'o - 'Melolontha-melolontha' a large FRO type flying beetle' . . . man, it's wild down south : )
It's going to look great, I much prefer the Busa as its starting to look now. Hope you're feeling much better now, just got up at 6 & it's pissing down here, roads will be greasy as hell. Have a good weekend both, all the best x👍👍
Hey Geoff.. good to hear from you sir.. and we woke up to broad sunshine, but it's clouded over and starting to rain here now... looks like a changeable day.. Enjoy your weekend nad keep safe there.. D&Px
"Lights". "Indicators". "Legal". "Blah. Blah" "Fabrication!" ... Hits pause. Makes a cup of tea. Sits up. Takes notice 😁 Looking forward to see where you take this Del.👍 Hi Penny 👋
Lots of god/Christianity in recent videos - is that because of the recent health scare? Not really seen religious stuff in your videos before. Glad to see you seem to be doing well 👍
Perhaps sharing a few sentiments maybe Tommy, but i have always had faith my friend, and brushing with mortality can focus your resolve for sure. Thank you for your feedback, im really glad you're enjoying the videos... have a great weekend mate... Del.
@@Moonfleet41 I'm not a religious man but respect others belief. It was best said by the late great Dave Allen, "goodnight & may your god go with you" !
@@Moonfleet41,, Yup,, having a brush with mortality is like an Awakening..., myself included 😌(cancer survivor)👍. You realize how fast life can go sideways and that time is of the essence🙏. Ride safe friends . Its now or never... Cheers 🍻,, G.
Nice start, glad to see you back at it...Actual question, with you only welding the brackets at the sides is there a possibility of water going down between the plate and the top edge of the brackets, or is the weld tight enough to make a watertight join on the top edge?
It's not necessary to weld them all the way round just for that, they way more then strong enough already, and a layer of tough paint on the inside will seal it all.
@@Moonfleet41 EXACTLY !!! That’s what my dad does… and says!! He makes something but we don’t know how he plans it!! 😂😅🤣 now you’re like him!! Btw- I like your finger-snap trick, appears and disappears-tools!! Wink!
I like your idea with the asymmetric headlight. And how you get towards the final piece. Looking forward to your next step. Cheers, Günter from Nürnberg/Germany
Yes like the mixing of different bike styles, a enduro style on a street muscle bike looks great Del was a little concerned when you made the motocross racing plate out of steel instead of plastic in case of a spill but what a relief when you told us it was to be curved over 😀 Blessings from West Yorkshire x
Outstanding workmanship mate.... And the high quality video and audio adds to the viewing experience... I really dig your accent bro...Watching from Australia...
'Street fighter,' 'rattage' and a big blank canvas....great start to this project! Your chalkboard opening to this episode is what I feel every time I get out to ride! Cheers to you both!
Thank you so much for that heads up.. sadly it seems that Super Thanks facility is not available to me in my location yet, but it is coming, and ill switch it on as soon as i can.. Thanks again for that information.. it'll really help when it comes online for us here.
Always interesting to see someone’s interpretation and ideas slowly come to life. Good for you Del. I will say though, glad you mentioned that it was going to be smaller. Hahaha.
Nice video Del & Penny. Excellent message at the beginning mate. Looking forward to seeing the race board come together. Penny and you have a relaxing weekend, stay safe. Cheers
Thanks mate, good to hear from you, and really appreciate your feedback.. Enjoy your weekend too mate, keep safe over there, we've been hearing on the news how difficult this damn virus is making life for you all.. ! to take care and keep safe too..D&Pxx
Hiya Del mike here mate can you recommend a torque Wrench or what size that i can go out and buy to use on my motorcycle pls cheers all the best mike ;-)
Here you go Mike.. this is the one i use, i has the widest range ive seen for a 3/8" drive wrench, perfect for all but the biggest fasteners like axle nuts, and you should be using a 1/2" drive for those anyway... this one is best for all the other general jobs you'll do... from 7Nm to 112Nm.. Perfect for a bike, calibrated and certified too . www.spanner-monkey.co.uk/torque-wrench-micrometer-style-3-8-quot-sq-drive-7-112nm-5-83lb-ft-calibrated-119594?search=STW1011&description=true
Wish i had one Steve.. along with a TIG welder, tube bender, pipe notcher, and lots of other tools.. they're all on the wish list mate.. and FWIW, you still have to use a grinder on the cut plasma edges, it leaves them like they've been hacked out with an axe..!
Amen to that sir , Steve McQueen bike springs to mind . It looks real rat 🐁 nice little laugh from penny at the end. My perfect couple that make a channel full of dreams. Keep well .
Love your process, Del! Great message at the beginning and a fitting sum up with Penny’s laughter! Hope you both have a safe weekend there. Feel better! 🏍👍🏍
so we've gone from cafe racer to survivalist to what looks to me like a bobber with as you put it rat, survivor, streetfighter tones... im intrigued Del bring it on.
@@spencerchapman1873 Mate, im so sorry to hear that, and do wish you well, you can drop me an email any time, or a message here when ever you like.. im always free to reply, listen or waffle... have a great weekend buddy, and God Bless... Del.
Hi Del, can't tell you how happy I am to see you back in business doing what you do best. Been busy with work and now just catching up on your videos. It really amazing what you do and hope you get to do it for many many years to come! Here's to you and your health! All the best to you and your lovely Penny!
Hi Adrian, thank you for your kind words and welcome back.. it is good to be back in the garagem and whether i film things for the internet or not, i will always have fun in the garage and make things for my bikes.. it's a life choice i could never give up. Take care and keep safe mate.. Del.
