FIRST RULE: Consultant should NEVER EVER put a bride in a dress she can’t afford. They are told the budget before trying dresses and for staff to put brides into dresses they can’t afford is a sign of ignorance. I’d ask for a discount too.

I hate it when sales people don’t respect the customer’s budget

The video title makes her sound like she's just being cheeky and cheap by asking for a discount, but actually she's being totally fair and it's their fault for putting her in dresses over her budget! I personally think she did great!x

I love the bride bargaining, getting a discount and a veil. She deserves it for them not respecting her price point.

Almost $400.00 and $500.00 over budget is just a smidge, then discount the dress just a smidge!

I saw one episode where a bride with an UNLIMITED budget was shown a gown that was 868 pounds. They did that just to prove the point that all of the gowns in the shop were high quality and gorgeous, regardless of budget. Instead, it just made all of us in the comment section FURIOUS that they so often refuse to respect the budget for all of the brides who really can’t afford to pay more than their budget.

She pointed that her budget is under 1000 and can maximum stretch it to 1200. It was unprofessional for consultant to put her in the gown with veil and the moment, and letting her know about the price later on. Consultant could have asked the bride before trying if she's willing to compromise budget over style. It wasn't consultant's decision. Bride did the right asking for 10%off and the veil. Kudos to her!!

This show drives me up the wall! Putting brides in over budget dresses all the time. When I went wedding dress shopping they wouldn’t even pull them if they were over. And I found the perfect dress 400$ under budget!! Think of the brides! Not your commission!!

Kim, this consultant, almost always goes over budget: sometimes by 100%. If I see an episode with her in it, you know exactly what to expect.

What is it with this bridal salon? How hard can it be to respect the brides budget? Don't they have sale dresses, and cancellation dresses the bride can try on?. The bride who asked for a discount, is a savvy shopper. The bride who added her own money to the amount her mom was fronting, should have been paying for it herself instead of looking to mummy for the funds.

It’s simple, tell the bride the price BEFORE putting it on, and let her decide if she is willing to take the risk.

I think it’s ridiculous to bring a bridal gown out that’s 35% higher than her budget and have her fall in love with a gown and then make a big deal about her asking for 10% off. In this economy right now everybody has watch their budgets, so I applaud her for having the courage to ask for a discount. However I think some of the bridal consultants need to be a little more considerate of budget for the client because it’s very hard do not fall in love elegant beaded gowns once you try them on. I know from First hand experience 50 years ago when I tried on the dress it was only $50 over the budget that my mother was so mean and even though I offered to pay for it she would not let me have the dress I have dreamed of for7 years…She was so tight fisted about the budget that I could not have the dress of my dreams.. i’ve never gotten over it and neither will these other brides if you fit them into something they cannot have. I think it's rather repulsive how this particular consultant puts people in dresses over budget ALL THE TIME. Everytime I see her as the consultant she does it. She's not that great either, I believe a new career may be the direction she should go...

I always wonder if there are pieces of film footage that we don't see, where the consultant and the bride discuss trying on pricier dresses at some point. I never assume that what we see is exactly the way things happened. These shows are crafted and edited for maximum -drama- entertainment.

If one can ask for a discount at Macys… (which I always do at any store and 9 out of 10 times I get it) it should be no problem asking at a bridal salon or any where else.

Lol I loved watching this show growing up and still do. As I’m getting older being more financially aware of life, it blows my mind how expensive some of these gowns really are a down payment for a car/house 🥲🥲🥲. I understand the labor cost and materials that add up but oooh man.

Even with 10% off the bride still goes over budget not to mention sales tax she got 150 euros off of 1,495 which is 1,345 euros with the dress and veil.

Just read the pricetag before you take it off the rack/off the hangar/step into it. Problem solved.

Loved the first one for the first bride. She's one of the few women who can pull off a strapless and make it look stunning. Contrast between top and skirt was perfect. Second one didn't suit her. The V neck with the sleeves made her look big on top and then they ran out of fabric for the skirt and chucked some sheer curtains on the bottom. Couldn't tell what the A line looked like on her without a full shot but it seemed like a nice dress. The fourth one was gorgeous. The sleeves suit her, lace is very flattering and the colour of the skirt is unique. Second bride's dress was stunning and suited her figure. I love the lace pattern.

Why do they always put brides with big budgets in cheap dresses and vice versa.
