Yeah, I dig the way it looks and sounds as well. You guy's find the nicest damn "garage finds", like someone parked it there LAST month. That'll be a FUN car to cruise with...big block, 4 speed, side pipes and over the top cool factor.

I've had a 58 and a 69. Early Vettes have got to be the most durable, reliable and easy to work on sports cars ever.

How manycalls did you get from Chevelle restorers looking for that engines ID?

I'll be honest if I had a classic Chevy that was in good shape I just couldn't mess with it anymore I would definitely rather you guys have it. I've seen too many people beg for some of the old stuff I had and then just let it go to waste like I was I want a good home for vehicle that needs to be preserved and used.

A quick glance of the tach redline looks like it was a L78 car.

I think if you are going to keep it as a beater that's cool, but I would put back the lights and front grille back and get rid of those spaghetti headers, I always hated them... If it was mine, I would do a frame off and restore it as close as possible. Nice find.

Very nice find. But I don’t think it’s a original 396 car because it has a small block rear end. 65 coupe is my favorite.

I had a 71 vette that had a customized front end (mako). I priced out returning it to stick, the cost was exorbitant.

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!!!!!!!
