When we went and got my daughter's top-kart we went to the IMS museum while in town and it was awesome seeing some of the Indy history.

Naaaah, skip the Karts, the CycleKarts look like crazy fun at lower budgets. Wondering if I could do an EV one looking like a mid 50's Masarati F1 car, or a mid '60's Brabham. Also, Double Dick Dude might argue about the 'best' mutation, especially in light of the wiener gif.

Did you know that the updraft carb that is run on most General Aviation horizontally opposed engines was actually originally designed for Indy cars in 1912 and run in competition until 1935 and an adaptation is run on Continental and Lycoming engines to this day. The carb is called the Marvel - Schebler carbuttor, and yes, it IS that same Marvel MYSTERY Oil guy (Burt Pierce) who made alot of money by selling the patent to Borg Warner (and probably a TONNE more from the MMO over the years!) Imagine if the automotive industry was that regressive, I gots to run a carb from 1912 and these here magneto sparkers from the 30s on the sidevalve in my 2020 jalopy, dont trust nothin else! LOL

I know the guy who build that car....he is not only super-cool but also the truck driver for Team Legacy....hope you make him an interview....he and his brothers are legends...his father and all the family is involved in racing....

If you use the Offy engine are going to use the smaller turbo version or the bigger displacement NA version? The 220 NA Offy made the most beautiful howl and crackles , magnificent.

Watson never had any blueprints. You only let your right elbow stick out there once. Plenty of room for three pedals. Watson cars never had a hand clutch.
